Prayer for Deceased Parents

O God, Who has commanded us to honour our father and mother, have compassion in Thy mercy, on the souls of my deceased father and mother, and all deceased fathers and mothers; forgive them their sins, and grant that their children may see them in the joy of eternal brightness. Through Christ our Lord.

I pray for my father, Bob, who passed from
cancer about 28 yrs. ago,

May he have reached perfect contrition
for his mortal sins before he passed on
and have loved God and
loved his neighbor as himself. That
he did not deny God’s Covenanting,
Eternal and Infinite Love embodied in
Jesus Christ and His Church, the
Truth, the Way and the Life and have
rejected the empty promises of the
world, the flesh and the devil.
Amen.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O God,
may perpetual light shine upon him,
and may his soul, and the souls of
ALL the faithful departed. by the mercy
of God, RIP.
