Please pray for me. I am so out of patience. I have four children and one of them really tries me. He is 13. He won’t follow most of the rules of the house or life for that matter. He is in his own world most of the time. I am at a loss right now how to help him. Punishments don’t seem to change his behavior for more than a day.
Now my husband’s out of town. He works so much, and I know he needs to. I try to keep it going but sometimes I just can’t.

O Lord, please send Your Spirit of Peace upon Your servant, Lourdes, and calm her spirit. Grant her the patience and wisdom to deal with her children. And enter the hearts of her children, that they may be more like You. In Jesus name we pray.

Lourdes may Saint Rita of Cascia (wife and mother of two) intercede for you before our Lord Jesus Christ.:signofcross:

May God grant you patience and perseverence with all your children, but especially the one who causes the most struggle.

For your prayer request:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

God Bless You

Praying for your intentions.

Parents who are raising children are our largely hidden heros and heroines…and material for saints and we need more ordinary everyday (if we can call it that) parents and lay people to be saints and role models of sanctity for us all…Lord please hear our prayers…
Will be keeping you and your husband and children in prayer…and especially your 13 year old (difficult age) who is causing you concern… may The Holy Spirit enter fully into the situation and ease your anxieties and straighten your son out…

**May I suggest that you make an appointment with the priest. Take your son with you and discuss everything. I promise it can help. **

**A PRAYER FOR THE VIRTUE OF PATIENCE
Patience is a virtue of the Lord:
He awaits the return of His children.
Forgive our trespasses Oh Lord Jesus,
For many times have we tested You.
We deserved the wrath of Your hand,
But You saw greater things for us:
Your patience has been enormous!
Grant us a droplet of such endurance,
That we may abolish our impious impatience,
Refraining from using unpleasant words,
And always reflecting Your serenity.
Great is the Lord Jesus in His ways!
Amen **

Lourdes, praying to St Monica, mother of a wayward Augustine:

:signofcross:

Dear St Monica,
exemplary mother of the great Augustine,
you perseveringly pursued your wayward son
not with wild threats
but with prayerful cries to Heaven.
Intercede for all mothers in our day,
especially for our dear Lourdes, for whom we now pray,
so that they may learn to draw their children to God.
Teach them how to remain close to their children,
even the prodigal sons and daughters
who have sadly gone astray.

Our Father, Who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy Will be done,
on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be:
World without end.

Amen.

Thank you all for all your prayers. I was really at a low point, having a bad day. I feel more patience at this point. I think I really needed your prayers. As for talking to a priest, I’ll think about that. I’ve asked for advice so much over the years and heard the same things over and over. No one understands him, I don’t understand him. But I guess I understand him enough to keep trying. And hoping and praying.

I am still praying for you and your family. Especially to God asking him to please give you the strength to deal with what comes to you and the peace to know that everything will be ok.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Praying that you and the one who is thirteen find a way to communicate :gopray2:
