For People Contemplating Suicide

Hi everyone. I recently saw on my local Facebook Scanner group that there’s multiple people contemplating suicide. In light of this, let’s pray for all who are contemplating suicide due to their circumstances and for all who are depressed and despairing. Let’s pray that God may fill them with His love, that they know that they are loved, and that they receive the help they desperately need.

Lord we pray for all who feel that their life is not worth living. I pray that they regain the hope they have lost and that your consolation will be with them. I pray that friend and family will feel moved to reach out to each other. Lord hear our prayer.

Prayer for Those Considering Suicide

Most Loving God:
Hear our prayers for suicidal people. Guide
them to the medical treatment they need.
Bless them with loving family and friends.
Shield them from unkind, judgmental people.
Give these souls the strength to hold on as
they await the treatment that will lift them
out of their misery. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from

the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal ( [People Contemplating Suicide]). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by

speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from

the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into [People Contemplating Suicide])'s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
