Loving God,

Your son Jesus taught us to love and to pray through the beatitudes as a model for how we should live out our Christian lives. Please bless us, grant us wisdom, have mercy on us as we sometimes stray from the desires you have for us, and help us to pray feverishly and with great effect for this intention. Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Bless these children of yours who never have the opportunity to live out their earthly lives, and bless those who grieve and mourn for them. Please send your loving Holy Spirit to soften and change the hardened hearts of so many people who do not understand and appreciate the evil that is abortion. Please guide and lead the political leaders of our country so the rights and dignity of our unborn will be respected and will be preserved by our laws and practices.

The sin of murder will drive a man to an early death it is said, but women often do not know what they are doing when they have an abortion, most often never having had a child.
Please, Lord, in your infinite Mercy, help and forgive the women who suffer over what they did, oh, too late, and help them, according to this beautiful prayer for their lost babies, to know that their lost children may be received by God in Heaven as they were not received on earth, especially as I know I personally feared for my two babies’ souls and prayed ceaselessly and in fear for them.
