What I think sadder than the church buildings being sold off for other uses is the drop in attendance. But, Europe has been floundering for a long time because they have totally bought into socialism and modernism, and so lost their faith. Very sad indeed!
 
I think what most of us forget…The Holy Spirit is in charge, both here and everywhere including Europe. Jesus promised that his church would prevail. So don’t set up any obituaries for the church. God has bigger plans. We need to be his hands and his ears and his eyes and do his will. Open your hearts and he will tell you what he wants us all to do.

I don’t think being a socialist or modernist equates at all with losing one’s faith. The power of the Church is that it is relavent in all societies.
