Please join me in a prayer for holiness in the integrity, purposes, uses, and general conduct in the operation of the internet and associated technology. I know a little about what went into the making of the internet, and I know there was a lot of mulduggery involved. For awhile I got scared and said a prayer before logging on, and embedded special characters in my passwords invoking protection. Now, I just find it ironic that I continue to use it, because how else can you get by now? and I am an invalid, and it makes things so easy. But is this good? I happen to know about how the English language as we knew it was bastardized (excuse the expression, it is British) in order to enable development of language intelligence software. I am praying that the SOPA legislation to begin to take steps to regulate the industry goes through, as piracy is at the heart of the “mulduggery” in one way or another, and a lot of people are getting way too rich in ways that aren’t readily understood by those who don’t know the industry. (And a lot of people are slaving their guts out for little pay and being told it is a good thing.)

I pray that the problem of bafflement of the individual person or average conressperson in the face of the endless “code” and other technology involved, can be resolved somehow so that due regulation can be put in place to put the technology and the industry to the test and keep it safe and sane. I have a personal interest in this issue.

Oh my Jesus, save us from the fires of Hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those most in need of thy mercy.

Glory be to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

**O God,
who from among all your angels
chose the Archangel Gabriel
to announce the mystery of the Incarnation,
mercifully grant that we
who solemnly remember him on earth
may feel the benefit of his patronage in heaven,
who lives and reigns for ever and ever.

Amen. **

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Our Father,
Who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name;
Thy kingdom come;
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Dear Lord, may everyone use the Internet for moral (or morally-neutral) purposes only. Please protect all users from all evil influences that lurk on the Internet. May the contents of all websites be free from immorality. May we all be holy online and off-line. Lord, hear our prayers. Amen.
