For someone suffering severe psoriasis

I have a dear friend whose mother suffers endlessly with severe psoriasis.
This is an extremely painful and itchy condition and can include weeping open sores over the entire body, face, and scalp…not caused by infection but by body or immune malfunction.
In addition to physical pain, itching, and discomfort, anyone with severe psoriasis suffers from discouragement and often depression as no matter what treatment they try, their hopes of healing are dashed again and again.

I ask two things of God for this dear lady:
  1. That God will allow discovery of the trigger if she is allergic to something she eats or that is in her environment.
  2. That You will heal her Lord Jesus.
Please hear and grant this prayer for my friend and for all who suffer from this distressing affliction. In a post some months ago there was a little boy with a similar severe psoriasis.
Please God he is improving

Christ, the Divine Physician of our hearts and souls; please, hear our prayers.

Lord, every bodily and spiritual affliction is under Your heel. In Your earthly ministry, You shared Your love with those in distress, consoling them and bringing Your mercy to their very side. We beg You, O Lord, turn not Your ears from the plea of Your servants. Take Trishie’s friend’s mother in to Your warm embrace, and release her from the bondage of this affliction.

We ask this in Your most blessed name. Amen.
 
St. Rocco is a very powerful saint. My brother suffers from psoriasis also, and since asking St. Rocco for intercessory prayer, has experienced relief and almost disappearance of symptoms. Joining in prayer.

Dear Lord, give this woman suffering from psoriasis your comfort in her trials and give her the grace not to give in to depression and discouragement when she feels it coming on. Help her to turn immediately to you when she begins to feel down and give her your healing touch, fill her heart immediately with the grace to persevere and to know you are suffering along side her and love her so very much. May she find wholeness of spirit amid her tribulations…and help her to know the “triggers” of her psoriasis.

I have had psoriasis before, not fun stuff. Although it wasn’t as severe as this woman’s. I shall pray for her healing…

O great St. Peregrine, you have been called “The Mighty,” “The Wonder-Worker,” because of the numerous miracles which you have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to you. For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of the sick whom we entrust to you…
Aided in this way by your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.
