Prayers appreciated for my soon-to-be step-GMIL, Marica. She’s elderly and having open heart surgery tomorrow.

Thank you.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning is now ever shall be world without end
Amen.

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother. To thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen

Praying for Marcia’s health & recovery & successful surgical outcome.

Prayer to St. Luke:

Most charming and saintly Physician, you were animated by the heavenly Spirit of love. In faithfully detailing the humanity of Jesus, you also showed His divinity and His genuine compassion for all human beings. Inspire our physicians with your professionalism and with the divine compassion for their patients. Enable them to cure the ills of both body and spirit that afflict so many in our day.

Amen.

Christ said to His loved ones:
“I am with you, fear not, be not anxious.” May I, then, be confident
that in the trials and crosses of my life that You, O Lord, will be my
constant companion. Whenever I cannot stand, You will carry me
lovingly in Your arms. May I have no fear of what may happen
tomorrow. For the same Eternal Father Who cares for me today
will take care of me tomorrow and every day of my life. You, O Lord,
will either shield me from suffering or give me strength to bear it patiently.
May I be at peace then, and put aside all useless thoughts, anxieties
and worries.
Amen.

O Jesus Christ, Messiah and Lord,
grant Marcia joyful acceptance of the surgery
which awaits her. Let this be the relief
and cure that is needed. Make skilled the work
of the surgeons and that of his or her team,
for it is unto their knowledge and skill
that she give’s herself for healing. I pray You, O Lord,
that this procedure will be without complication,
and that her recovery will be speedy and complete.
Through the precious and holy name of Your
Son, Christ, Our Lord, Amen.

That right there is a complicated title. XD St. Anne, pray for us. St. Monica, St. Rita, pray for us. Amen.

Prayer for Heart Patients to St. John of God**

Dear convert, after a sinful life, through the power of God’s holy Word you learned to love your fellow human beings. Self-sacrificing, you founded the Society of Hospital Brothers. No wonder the Church made you the patron of patients and nurses, and heart patients. That is why we confidently have recourse to you. Please give assistance to this grandmother and teach us to be kind like you.

God, You filled St. John with the spirit of compassion. Grant that by practicing works of charity we may deserve to be numbered among the elect in Your Kingdom. Amen.

Eternal God , in whom mercy is endless,
and the treasury of compassion inexhastible ,
look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us ,
that in difficult moments we might not despair
nor become despondent , but with great confidence ,
submit ourselves to Your Holy Will ,
which is love and mercy itself . Amen

Memorare (Prayer to Our Lady)

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Marica. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Marica’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
