For strength in my battle to stop smoking

Can you please say a little prayer that I have the strength to not start smoking again. Going through a tough patch and the temptation to have a cigarette is growing. Yes, I do know it will do nothing to help but years of self brain washing to the contrary would like to convince me otherewise.

At the moment, I say an Our Father, Hail Mary and Jesus Prayer when temptation strikes, but if anyone else would like to add to these I would love to read them 🙂

the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.

Lord, please free milikido from the addiction to nicotine and grant him Your healing touch.

Lord, please deliver this child of yours from the addiction to nicotine.

Hang in there and keep praying. It’s been 5 years for me and I now rarely get the urge. In fact, I can’t stand cigarettes anymore, although I never nag people about quitting. It will get easier, I promise you.

One of my best friends stopped killing himself slowly, but surely. After the first three days he claims not have any urges It has been over a year now for him. My friend gives credit to his success to a book by Allen Carr?.

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

St. Benedict, pray for us. Try asking for his intercession. He’s usually the go to guy to ask intercessions for when you’re struggling with some kind of temptation.

I too have read Allen Carr’s book. I would highly recommend it if you are wanting to stop smoking. Remember God gave you free will, so pray and ask Jesus too ask his Father to help you,you can also ask, St Anthony too to help you, god luck my friend,and my you have the strength too over come it,you,ll feel much better. AMEN. :gopray2::gopray2:
