For student at brother’s school

My younger brother is a teacher at a Catholic high school out of state and my mom just told me that one of his students committed suicide today. She would have only been about 16 or so.

My brother is really torn up about it, as are the rest of the staff and students. The community where the school is located is not big, but has had a lot of problems with alcoholism, drugs and poverty, leading to many non-intact families. It’s an immensely sad situation.

Please pray for the student, her family, my brother, and the rest of the grieving community.

And Lord, please flood this girl’s soul with the fullness of Your merciful love in her last moments.

I pray that God is merciful to her. I also pray that the Lord comforts all who are affected by this death. May God be with them during this difficult time.

And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
