Our God, even when sickness is prolonged or life-threatening please give hope of a cure. Please heal whom You will in answer to our prayers of entreaty. Please give Your great kindness and Your loving presence to those who are ill and in pain, and to those who are unable to rest due to anxieties and traumas.
Please grant peace and sleep to those struggling to rest. Help those who are ill, worried and unhappy to sleep in peace.

Dear God, do not allow anxieties and sufferings to alienate us from You during life, and please encourage and protect us when we are dying. Bless the chronically and terminally ill. Alleviate the suffering that sometimes accompanies the living and dying process for many persons. Ensure appropriate and kind care of their physical and spiritual needs. To the dying, to their carers, and everyone, please give passionate awareness of the true value of each human life.

Our God, because their eternal destiny is at stake, in Jesus’ name have mercy on those who are sick and dying, whether family, friend, or stranger! Grant love, forgiveness, assistance, and conversion to them. Give them repentance and trust as Your love and grace embraces them and blesses those around them. Send angels to comfort and assist them, as You did for Jesus in Gethsemane.
Please go to the dying in their last moments and show them Your love and mercy that they may finally welcome You wholly, and that You may welcome them into heaven.

That is a beautiful Prayer Trishie, Thank you! I miss my late husbands mother! She was in hospice. Your prayer saids it all. I suffer from axiety. But prayer and going to mass and receiving Holy Communion, give me comfort. Will be praying for all and especially those that are suffering!

God bless you stanthony. It’s lonely when we miss someone like you do your mother-in-law. I have a photo of my Mum on my bedside table, and she looks so sweet and innocent. She died many years ago but I so often think of her, “Mum would have loved this!”, “Mum would be so surprised at all these changes!” And on my desk, a large photo of my Dad who died last year. His eyes had such a way of showing love, and a twinkling humor, so I can’t glimpse the photo without feeling warmed and cheered.
My Dad and I used to have such long talks. He was profoundly Catholic, and he’s the only one I could have such deep chats with, but I have peace, because for all of us, if he wasn’t a saint…!

We do miss them. It can be lonely, and I pray you will find comfort, and that You our dear God will help to alleviate our sister’s anxiety.
Lord grant her wholesome joy and peace in her life, lived in trust in You.
Please grant this to all who are losing or who have lost precious members of their family.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Lord Jesus be with those who are critically ill and those who are dying.
Please ensure that they have the love, support, and respect that You desire for them as loved children of God. Please bring about recovery where this is possible.
Draw into Your light and love and truth those who do not know and love You and those who marginalize You.
