Hey everyone. For a long time, I have dealt with pain in my hips. For over a year I have dealt with muscle spasms in my hips. Lately, my lower back has also started having muscle spasms when walking. All of this occurs when I have to walk for more than a few minutes at a time. Nearly all of the time I do have some level of pain no matter how much walking I do but not the severe pain I get when I walk for more than a few minutes. Last year, I was diagnosed with sciatica. I am prescribed a muscle relaxer and an anti-inflammatory medicine but it doesn’t help much at all. I am going to be getting a new appointment with my doctor soon to see what else can be done. Meanwhile, I am terrified I am going to end up crippled and completely unable to walk. As it is now, the pain at its worse makes me almost unable to walk at all. I would greatly appreciate prayers for healing. I will keep you updated.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Holly3278). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into (Holly3278’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

St. Faustina

Jesus, may Your pure and healthy Blood circulate in your ailing organism, and may Your pure and healthy Body transform your weak body, and may a healthy and vigorous life throb within you, if it is truly Your holy will…(Diary 1089)

I have been struggling with this for the past six months. Chiropractic and physical therapy and gabapentin have helped a lot. If they are using muscle relaxants, they probably think it is piriformis syndrome. Look it up. In addition to PT exercises, chiro has recommended the bridge exercise to strengthen the other muscles used in walking. This reduces the use of piriformis muscle, which can pinch sciatic nerve. She has also recommended a foam roller, available through Wal-Mart to break up the tension in that muscle. I use a stick to reduce the pain while walking, and two of them when walking longer distances for exercise. I also rest my rear end on the pew at Mass, as kneeling upright tenses the piriformis. Be careful with muscle relaxants, as most are addictive.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fountain of Mercy for us, I trust in You!

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Hey everyone. Thank you very much for your prayers. The pain has become much less severe in the past few days. However, I am still planning on going to the doctor because it may very well become severe again as it has done in the past.

Thank you for the update. I am glad you are going to the doctor and I hope you find continued pain relief.

Hey everyone. I am sick with a bad sinus infection, cold, the flu, or something similar so I am going to the doctor tomorrow. I am going to try to remember to talk to her about my sciatica pain as well. I will update you more when I can.

Hey everyone. I just got back from the doctor a little bit ago. She is going to have me do physical therapy for my sciatica-related pain.

So sorry for your suffering, Holly. I’m praying that all of it will be redemptive and God’s mercy will be over all of it.

In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.
