Please remember the souls in Purgatory during your prayers. Ask that they may reach Heaven soon. For those that must remain a long time, ask that their Holy Mother visit them and bring them occasional comfort.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in Purgatory. Amen.

Dearest Blessed Mother, wrap your loving mantle around the holy souls in purgatory. Present each and every one to your Divine Son, asking Him to draw them quickly to Himself so that they may be freed and so praise His bountiful mercy forever and ever. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of death. Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Amen. :signofcross: :gopray2:

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. :signofcross: :gopray2:

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

I pray daily for these souls, most esp. those that are forgotten. Not sure where I heard this, but someone once said that our Blessed Mother takes some souls to heaven w/ her on a Saturday. I know this sounds strange, but I recall someone saying this. Does anyone know anything about this? ;

It’s called the Sabbatine Privilege. Interesting history on a possible apparition to Pope John XXII in which this privilege was communicated, and a subsequent Papal Bull on this. But the Bull is generally not considered authentic, and therefore it seems that the apparition may not have happened.

Here’s how NewAdvent ends its article.
Carmelite Orders, while encouraging a belief in Mary’s general aid and prayerful assistance for their souls beyond death and commending devotion to Mary especially on Saturdays which are dedicated to her, explicitly state in their official catechetical materials that they do not promulgate the Sabbatine privilege, and are at one with official church teaching on the matter.

Daily prayers offered. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is most effectively powerful

It seems a bit silly to pray the Our Father here, yet he says on ‘earth as in heaven’ - God give rest to these holy souls…

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

I try to remember the holy souls when I say the rosary. Is the Chaplet of Divine Mercy believed to be particularly efficacious for souls in purgatory?

Yes, it is most efficacious not only for those in purgatory, but for those who are dying. I would encourage you and any other reader of this post, that if you have not done so, get a copy of and read the diary of St. Faustina Kowalska. Any good Catholic book store will have it. It is called “Divine Mercy in My Soul”. It will answer this and so much more, more eloquently than I could ever hope to be able to say. With it, are the books on the Cenacle formation, books 1 - 2 & 3. The first half of book #1, for lack of a better explanation, is going to blow your mind. We think we know and understand the depth and extent of Gods mercy. These books will take you to a depth of understanding that is truly awesome. In my prior post, I note I said effectively. It should have been efficaciously.
