Yes, it is most efficacious not only for those in purgatory, but for those who are dying. I would encourage you and any other reader of this post, that if you have not done so, get a copy of and read the diary of St. Faustina Kowalska. Any good Catholic book store will have it. It is called “Divine Mercy in My Soul”. It will answer this and so much more, more eloquently than I could ever hope to be able to say. With it, are the books on the Cenacle formation, books 1 - 2 & 3. The first half of book #1, for lack of a better explanation, is going to blow your mind. We think we know and understand the depth and extent of Gods mercy. These books will take you to a depth of understanding that is truly awesome. In my prior post, I note I said effectively. It should have been efficaciously.

Thank you. I’ve been meaning to read the diary. I’m also interested in learning more about Josefa Menendez.

Familiar with St Faustina Deacon Ed. Thank you for reminding us of this prayerful Saint.

Still praying for Souls in Purgatory and those who are dying and need our prayers too.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them, and may the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.
:heaven:

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.:signofcross:

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the Fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. :signofcross:

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, it is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen. :signofcross:
