I don’t know how to properly express myself here, and I don’t even know where to start, but I swear I will try.

I am a young man, and I’m in my twenties. My life has been a nightmare since the day I was born. I was severely abused by my father my whole life, and I don’t really have any true friends now. I have never had a proper childhood. Seeing my mom be punched and physically wounded was commonplace. School was terrible to me. I had many tics and other visible problems, so I suffered a lot of bullying. I isolated myself for years.

I wish I could escape from the violence of my father and live elsewhere, but right now I can’t. I was sabotaged and discouraged many times I tried to get a job or leave. I swear I’m trying, but it is hard. I’m studying the most I can to leave this hell as soon as possible.

I feel totally lost, in constant stress and mentally ill. Sometimes I feel like I can’t take it anymore. Sometimes I wish he would just die. This affects the way I talk to people and the way I relate to them. Peace of mind is something I rarely feel. I can’t control my thoughts sometimes. It’s like I’m always reliving terrible moments. I have agonizing flashbacks. I think bad things about people. I always see scenes of violence in my mind. This hurts me.

I had much faith in the past. I even thought about becoming a monk. Nowadays, I don’t know. Sometimes I believe there is a God and I want to be a good Christian, but sometimes I just don’t care about religion. Why did He allow all of this happen to me? I mean, there may be a God… But I feel like He doesn’t care about me.

I don’t know what I expect from posting here. I have been trying to register in this site for years. For some reason, registration was always off. It has changed a little, and is truly beautiful now, and I’m glad I could register.

Thank you for reading, for listening to me. I will be very happy to read any answers, whatever they are.

May God be with you all.

Dear God, I pray in Jesus’ name that you please help this person. You know better than he himself can express what he needs. Please help to meet his many needs for mental peace, for a safe place to live and for guidance in his life. Please help him to continue trusting in you and beating down your holy door just like he persevered trying to get into CAF. At a time when so many are deaing with physical storms, this man is going through the storms of life every day and needs you. I place my confidence in you to help, bless and strengthen him. Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Lady of Mental Peace, St. Joseph, and St. Dymphna, please pray for this intention. Thank you. Amen.

First of all, I am sorry life has been so hard. It sounds like you will probably find relief when you can get out on your own, which I hope can be soon.

We know that God permits suffering on a temporary basis, that Jesus, Mary and all the saints suffered more than anyone else. Their suffering did have purpose, even though it might not have seemed so at the time. God can bring good out of the worse evil. Suffering is the only way to heaven according to what St. Faustina wrote.

What I would suggest is to pray for your father and forgive him, even though what he’s doing to you and the family is wrong. Keep trying to get on your own and realize that things can get better. Please hang in there.

Praying for you.

Dear Lord,
Cover Your hurting son with Your life and grace, lead him to a resolution of his situation, teach him the remedies he needs to apply to it, and the wisdom and strength to discern and follow Your will for his life. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Hi Fericire,

I am so sorry to hear about your home life being this way.

I do understand, and I pray that some day your circumstances will change for the better for you.

In the mean time, I will pray that God and His Holy Angels and Saints will watch over you, guide you, protect you and comfort you.

May God bless you, too.

May the Lord hold you in His arms as you deal with this great pain … remember how our Lord suffered … suffering is a part of a good Christian life … but you have had more than your share … may the Lord take pity on you and bring you out of your misery. I will keep you in my prayers.

I will be praying for you! Have you/can you see a preferably Catholic therapist to help you deal with past trauma? Take care and God bless

May God protect you and help you find your way to happiness in his light!

Fericire your experience of so much abuse is heartbreaking, as is your lack of freedom to escape abuse at this time.
Heartfelt prayers for you, beautiful child of God, whose preciousness has been hidden behind the cruelty of someone who should cherish you.

Dear brother,
Praying for you, that you will experience the peace of Christ, who loves you very much. Remember that St Theresa of Avila said, "“In light of heaven, the worst suffering on earth will be seen to be no more serious than one night in an inconvenient hotel.”

🙏🕊️

Can you find a shelter. Go to your school counsellor and talk about what’s happening

Hang on to your Faith my friend!

Praying for you…
Our Father, Hail Mary x10, Glory Be, Fatima, AMEN!

Continuing prayer for you …

Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Any and all abuse should be reported to law enforcement.

Also, please consider calling the national abuse hotline.

Please also look into the possibility of moving to Covenant House, which is a safe residence for at risk young people: www.covenanthouse.org

St. Jude Thaddeus is the patron saint of desperate and seemingly hopeless situations. I will pray to him for you. Here is a prayer to St. Jude which has helped me through some tough times and which I hope you may find helpful: https://www.ewtn.com/devotionals/novena/jude.htm

Also , here is a prayer to St. Dymphna I hope will help: http://www.ourcatholicprayers.com/prayer-to-st-dymphna.html

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful (and afraid), and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

I heard it best said by someone who suffered much; he said “All suffering has a purpose; it’s not useless, it builds you up for something more”. I forget his name, but it’s a true thing. I’m not saying you have it easy, or I know what it’s like - far from it. I’m saying I’m proud of you for holding on thus far, and you’re in my prayers. God bless!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

I can’t imagine what you went through, but I can sort of relate with being unable to control thoughts and reliving terrible moments – and the feeling that God does not care.

Even if we can’t perceive it, God does care and will order things for eventual good. To paraphrase something I read somewhere (forgot where), God loves you much more than the suffering imposed on you by others that hate (the actual quote was more eloquent than that).

Adding prayers for hope and a new life away from the pain and suffering…

Heavenly Father please send Your Holy Spirit to guide and to heal Fericire.
Please guide him, and his abused mother, to find ways to deal with this abuse torture in a manner appropriate to Your love of them both.
Whatever ails the father and husband, whether illness or rejection of grace, please flood him with repentance and conversion…
I pray for en end of abuse in Fericire’s family, and for mental and emotional healing, so that at last this family can live wholesome lives, lived in loving kindness.
