Patty was a sister to me in all ways but blood. I can’t believe she’s gone. Heart attack, in her 50’s. She leaves a husband, mother, siblings.

She was a nurse–fabulous nurse. A gardener. A creator of artisan jewelry. She made a beautiful turquoise chaplet that hangs now in my office.

May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. May her family know the peace of God in this time.

You expired, O Jesus,
but the source of life gushed forth for souls
and an ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world.
O Fount of Life,
unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world
and empty Yourself out upon us.
O Blood and Water,
which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus
as a fount of mercy for us,
I trust in You.

Amen.
 
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
 
Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.
