For the repose of the soul of Chris and for his friend Ben who tried to help him

Please pray for the repose of the soul of Chris, who died as a result of a binge after suffering great emotional distress.

Also please pray for his friend Ben, who was trying to help him and had visited him twice on the night he died. Ben has a substance abuse problem which he has been treating for more than a year. Chris helped him to overcome his problem and to seek help. Now Ben was unable to save his friend who he was trying to help overcome his emotional difficulties. Please pray that he not turn again to drugs to cope with the “If Only’s”, and not to blame himself for not preventing his friend’s death.

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and the Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, our Lord Jesus, Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His Sorrowful Passion
Have mercy on us and on the whole world
 
Lord, please immerse these two souls in the ocean of Mercy that You spoke of to St. Faustina. May Chris’s soul be granted eternal rest, and may Ben be granted the grace and virtue he needs to deal with his own struggles. Amen.
 
Father, we come to you asking for the repose of the soul of Chris. We pray that he is admitted into the gates of eternal life. Father, his friend Ben needs your powerful, loving strength to help him make it through this terrible time in his life. Keep him strong and give him peace and understanding. Surround him with angels and forbid evil from coming near him. I pray this in Jesus name. AMEN

Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death.

I am praying, this sounds sooo familiar in my line of work. Lord, help Ben to see how much he is loved, and how he can live his life in spite of the past. Bless the soul of Chris in this result of his terrible choice

May Christ rest in the Merciful Heart of Jesus and may Jesus comfort and console all family and friends grieving. May He also comfort and console Ben and deliver him from guilt…Keeping all in daily prayer…
 
I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to daily Mass and I will remember your petitions for Chris and Ben in my daily prayers.

Please include Chris’s family, his wife Rani, and his 2 young children, Maddy and Zac, and his mother and father, Leah and Hubert.

Lord, comfort them in their loss and console them in their grief.
