O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding,
and counsel to youth that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God.
Give them courage and strength to follow God’s holy will. Guide their uncertain steps,
strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their
hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God’s holy service.

We come before you today and thank you for your many blessings in our lives and in particular for the blessing of wisdom. Lord, we lift up the intentions for all who are entering the early stages of adulthood, that they may find their way in the world and be led by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit to find the vocation and the calling you have prepared especially for each one. Lord, the challenges for young adults are enormous in this day and the competition for their attention and their time is fierce. Please help each one of these young people to find their calling in whatever future plan you have for their life, be it college, work, the religious life, Peace Corps, or many other possibilities. Please also help each one to keep a firm foundation in their lives through prayer and love for your people, and through love of You, O Lord. I pray especially for my oldest son and my daughter today, dear Lord.
