I do not know her personally, but this young mother with 4 preschool toddlers trying to attend mass on Thursday night was having a lot of difficulties. The 4 were not listening (I think they were probably a little too young to be there). Eventually she left early with them. I pray the Lord watches over them, the mother is trying very hard to raise them well. I pray their father can provide them the life they need for a long, productive, and spiritual life. May their gaurdian angels watch over and guide them all the days of their lives.

Amen. God bless you for thinking to pray for them.

Thank you Crusaderbear for that wonderful thought and prayer for that mother and babes. I was at service last night and children started getting very loud in the Basilica of the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. My first thought was not as charitable as I wished to be. Then I thought about what our Lord would have said if we were actually at the Last Supper with Him. He would have told her to bring them forward to be blessed I’m quite sure.

In that moment, I felt very calm and happy for the mothers that brought their children. Yes, it may have been a long service for little ones, but one is never too young to encounter God. The mothers are doing the Lord’s will. God bless the little children.

Bless her heart. That’s a tough situation (one that I avoid at all costs, and mine aren’t all toddlers either). Praying for her and her family…
