A new year is a hierophany of sorts, signifying death and rebirth, and I’d like to welcome anyone to join me in praying for those discouraged, vexed, who are asked to remain faithful in the face of darkness, that the coming year be renewed with mercy and joy. Amen.
 
Yes Lord may this new year bring new life to those ensnared and blinded by satan… May captives be set free by the matchless name of our Lord Jesus…Lord help those who know
you but struggle with besetting sin…Thank you Lord, may we all be drawn closer to You than we even had before.Thank you Lord Jesus for opening up access to the Father…Thank you
Lord Jesus for you intercession…

Praying that the new year be renewed with mercy and joy. May we spend this new year praising and thanking you, Lord, in good times and in bad; and in consoling your sorrowful heart so unloved and rejected by many. This year may we console your heart by being merciful in thought, word, and deed towards our neighbor without limit, as well as by meditating on your passion in your presence while holding your hand and sharing all our love with you. Amen.

I pray that those discouraged find hope, peace, compassion and love.
 
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us no into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
