I saw this video and thought i should share this. In the religion of Islam, their god has 99 names. each name is equal to the other one… allah is one of them…so if jesus claim one of their name… then jesus is their god…and if to deny any of those 99 name they are denying their god…

One of the name of Allah is Al HAQ–> it mean “The Truth” …Jesus say “I am the way, the “**truth”, **and the life” …so can muslim deny Al HAQ is not the name of their god?

Another name is AL BAETH–> The resurrection …Jesus say "I am the Resurrection and the life. He who believe in me, though he die, he shall live
Another name is AL AWAL and AL AKHER → “the first and the last” …In revelation 22:13, 16…I am the alpha and the omega, the first and the last, the beginning and then end.

ANother one is AL Malek—> King of Kings In revelation 17.14" they will make war against the lamb, but the lamb will overcome them because he is Lords of Lords and King of Kings"

Another one is AL Nur–> the light Jesus said in John 8:12 " I am the **light **of the world. He who follow me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.

I dare the Muslim to deny these name… they can’t deny these name because these are the name of their god…

So if any muslim ask a questions where did jesus say he is god… just say these and ill bet they will be quiet…hopefully I like to hear their comment about this

so if jesus claim one of their name… then jesus is their god…and if to deny any of those 99 name they are denying their god…
Firstly, welcome ravinaznt to CAF…

Secondly, “Jesus” not “jesus”…

Thirdly, JESUS is not claiming anything from Muslims, He spoke with us before Islam, so anyone who is coming after JESUS is the one who claims…

Firstly, take a look at how many time ‘Jesus’ was typed. The poster missed a couple capitol ‘J’s’. I’m sure it was unintentional.

Secondly, I think you missed the point of the OP.

and what is the point of thread in first place

we muslims believe that quran is the truth , actually it was said in quran about the quran that it’s the truth

I can’t speak exactly to the point of the OP, but I read it, if Jesus fulfills at least some of the names Muslims give God, then Jesus is God and Islam is incorrect saying Jesus is anything less than God.

Telling me that the quran tells us that it is the truth is circular reasoning.

If I tell you I’m the president of the USofA, that does make it so.

I’m not sure I have an argument with muslims. I surely disagree strongly with many of their understandings and teachings. One of which is how they seem to treat their women. (How they see Jesus, of course, is the biggest disagreement. If Muslims would see Jesus correctly, they would, no doubt, treat women differently.)

if king said about himself , “i’m the king” , it dosn’t mean that he claim divinity while he believe that one of God’s attirbutes/names is “the king”

are all muslims treat thier women badly ?
are all christians treat their women kindly ?

We Christians hold the Bible ( the scriptures ) to be the word of God and therefore the truth. Muslims hold the Qu’uran as the word of God and therefore the truth. The Bible came long before the Qu’uran, therefore which is God’s Word and the Truth? 🤷

What does the quran say about how to treat women? In muslim societies, are women most often equal with men, subjects of men, treated very well (as weaker vessels to be honored).

You are correct about the king analogy? However the quran can’t be the word of God and Jesus can’t be God both at the same time. If Jesus is God, then the quran can’t be God’s Word. If Jesus is not God, the quran can or can not be the Word of God.

The NT doesn’t tell men to treat their women poorly. It tells us to treat our wives just as we want to be treated. Any Christian that treats his wife poorly will answer to God.

So please tell us how women are to be treated according to the quran? Please give us ‘chapter and verse’.

I do believe that there are Muslims that do treat their women well. Though chivalry was a pretty universal idea in the Christian world. It was common to see men holding the door open for women, taking off their hat when a woman passes, escort an older lady across a busy street, addressing ladies as ma’am.

Not all Christians treat their women kindly. I would venture to say that most are merely Christian in name or fancy themselves a Christian. Just because you say you are a Christian does not make it so. Those who truly believe base their life on faith and works and live a Christian life. If we were to treat all women as Mary then what would our view of women be? When America was a Christian nation women were highly respected, many have worked to strip this country of it’s Christian roots which reflects in the treatment of it’s women.

…“And God said unto Moses,** I AM THAT I AM**: And he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel,** I AM** hath sent me unto you”…

From this quote, we see that another name for the God of Abraham is “I AM”.

Jesus referred to Himself as “I AM” several times in the Bible. In fact, “I AM” appears about 719 times in the Bible. ( about 508 times in the OT and 211 times in NT )

Here is one example; "John 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was,** I AM**.”

Criticizing the attitudes of parents who reject their female children, the Qur’an states:

When news is brought to one of them, of (the Birth of) a female (child), his face darkens and he is filled with inward grief! With shame does he hide himself from his people because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain her on (sufferance) and contempt, or bury her in the dust? Ah! What an evil (choice) they decide on? (Qur’an 16: 58-59).

Among the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (P.) in this regard are the following:
Whosoever has a daughter and he does not bury her alive, does not insult her, and does not favor his son over her, God will enter him into Paradise. (Ibn Hanbal, No. 1957).

Whosoever supports two daughters till they mature, he and I will come in the day of judgment as this (and he pointed with his two fingers held together).

The Qur’an clearly indicates that marriage is sharing between the two halves of the society, and that its objectives, beside perpetuating human life, are emotional well-being and spiritual harmony. Its bases are love and mercy.

Among the most impressive verses in the Qur’an about marriage is the following.

“And among His signs is this: That He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest, peace of mind in them, and He ordained between you love and mercy. Lo, herein indeed are signs for people who reflect.” (Qur’an 30:2 1).

According to Islamic Law, women cannot be forced to marry anyone without their consent.

Ibn Abbas reported that a girl came to the Messenger of God, Muhammad (P.), and she reported that her father had forced her to marry without her consent. The Messenger of God gave her the choice . . . (between accepting the marriage or invalidating it). (Ibn Hanbal No. 2469). In another version, the girl said: “Actually I accept this marriage but I wanted to let women know that parents have no right (to force a husband on them)” (Ibn Maja, No. 1873).

The Qur’an thus states:

“And they (women) have rights similar to those (of men) over them, and men are a degree above them.” (Qur’an 2:228).
Such degree is Quiwama (maintenance and protection). This refers to that natural difference between the sexes which entitles the weaker sex to protection. It implies no superiority or advantage before the law. Yet, man’s role of leadership in relation to his family does not mean the husband’s dictatorship over his wife. Islam emphasizes the importance of taking counsel and mutual agreement in family decisions. The Qur’an gives us an example:

“…If they (husband wife) desire to wean the child by mutual consent and (after) consultation, there is no blame on them…” (Qur’an 2: 233).

The Qur’an states:

“…But consort with them in kindness, for if you hate them it may happen that you hate a thing wherein God has placed much good.” (Qur’an 4: l9).

Prophet Muhammad. (P) said:

The best of you is the best to his family and I am the best among you to my family.
The most perfect believers are the best in conduct and best of you are those who are best to their wives. (Ibn-Hanbal, No. 7396)

When the continuation of the marriage relationship is impossible for any reason, men are still taught to seek a gracious end for it.

The Qur’an states about such cases:

When you divorce women, and they reach their prescribed term, then retain them in kindness and retain them not for injury so that you transgress (the limits). (Qur’an 2:231). (See also Qur’an 2:229 and 33:49).

Islam considered kindness to parents next to the worship of God.

“And we have enjoined upon man (to be good) to his parents: His mother bears him in weakness upon weakness…” (Qur’an 31:14) (See also Qur’an 46:15, 29:8).

A famous saying of The Prophet is
“Paradise is at the feet of mothers.” (In Al’Nisa’I, Ibn Majah, Ahmad).
“It is the generous (in character) who is good to women, and it is the wicked who insults them.”

I have read the Qu’uran and find it quite interesting with many Surahs parroting the Hebrew scriptures. I have also noted that much of what the Qu’uran ( and Islam ) teaches is Gnosis. Therefore , since Gnosis is a heresy and assumes many forms of fantasy and gross error, I cannot accept any teachings of Islam.
