For those that say the rosary everyday

I usually do so in the middle of other tasks- bathing, eating or driving. It takes me around 15 minutes as I have a fairly long list of intentions that I present in the beginning of every recitation. It takes a lot longer if I become distracted (which is why I try to be alone while I do it).

I do it while I’m at college every day at 6pm, not because 6 is some special time but because having an assigned time makes it routine. I do the same with Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3pm.

I also do both at the church on campus. Sometimes I do lose track but using a Rosary should help with that. I usually catch myself rushing so I have a quick Bible verse written down to read between every mystery because it slows me down. But I probably go through it all in 15 minutes.

I run a group rosary and that takes about 25-30 minutes. It’s faster when you say it in your head

I try to do it every evening before I go to bed.
It usually takes me 20-25 minutes.
I don’t have the tv or radio on so I can stay focused on my prayers.

How do you manage to not lose track of where you are?
@thom18
The beads (or my fingers, if I don’t have a rosary with me) keep me on track most of the time. I only really get distracted if there’s a lot of noise or if I’m moving around a lot (so I try to stay seated if I can).

I typically say it either before or after Mass in a church, or in an adoration chapel, or in the car. I try to finish the whole rosary at one sitting. It takes about 25 minutes as the other person said. Some days I do not get it said, other days I will say 2 or 3 of them, or if on a long car trip, even more.

I will also sometimes say it at home using a meditation book or a Youtube video. I like the Mother Angelica and Fr. Peyton videos where you get to pray along with them.

About 25ish minutes. I say it before bed every night, usually in order to avoid falling asleep i’ll pray some as I’m brushing my teeth or doing other pre-bedtime things.

How do you manage to do that?
discipline. 🙂

My favorite time is around 1 a.m. Dark and quiet is good
How long does it take you to say the rosary?🤔🙂
it depends. during the mysteries, I might meditate on a particular intention I’m praying for. While it doesn’t happen often, I’ve had rosaries last for hours. Most times I finish a rosary in ~20 minutes.

I am currently reading a book about praying the rosary that’s great. One of the things it discusses is how most people have trouble staying focused throughout the whole rosary. And that’s fine, but you have to work on it.

I use visual aides – images of the mysteries I am meditating on. I also try to pray when no one is around. But you shouldn’t worry about your surroundings too much. I don’t have children, but those who do and who pray the rosary may not always feel particularly holy when there is commotion about them, for instance. It’s the intentions behind your prayers that means everything – not how perfectly they’re recited or how holy you feel.

In fact, it’s when I feel most unholy that I need the rosary more than ever.

About 20 min. I can usually pray one rosary during my commute. My latest penance is to recite it twice a day, and I still have one week left.

During holiday I will say it during 9am. During working days (I don’t work in the afternoon) I will say it around 2-3pm after lunch to prevent dozing off. Each decade took 25 minutes.

When I first started praying the Rosary, it seemed very complicated and easy to forget where I was. Some things that helped: praying along with a recording (no access to a group Rosary). Praying on my own with a Rosary. At first, I often ended up one decade short, but with practice, I got better at remembering what went where.

Meditating on the mystery helps me remember where I am. If my mind drifts I can forget which mystery I started. This is why praying with a Rosary is so helpful :slight_smile:praying with a Scriptural Rosary has also helped. For a while, I had a whole one memorized (!). But I do need to switch them every so often.

ETA: I like the Pray the Rosary With Scripture Readings, or New Expanded Edition of Praying the Rosary from Catholic Book Publishing Corp. Here’s a link–click on the thumbnail pics of the pages and they will appear above where to replace the big picture of the front of the book. Catholic Shoppe USA | Powered By Fablet™?

It is about 4" x 6", paperback, heavy shiny pages, and 112 pages. Very easy to carry with you. And seems to cost only about $3!

I do a full Rosary, all four sets of mysteries, every day.
I find time here and there; in the shower, while driving, while waiting for my wife, walking the dog, etc.
If I’m doing any of those above, I have to count on my fingers, which is fine.
I try to do it all at once, or at least on set of mysteries all at once using beads or a tenner ring, but it’s not always possible, so I’ll do a decade here and a decade there.
About 15 minutes for each set, so an hour total.
The graces and strength to my faith that I’ve received have been immeasurable.

Do you have trouble trouble concentrating on the mysteries? I feel like I do if I am doing something else. My perfectionism gets in the way then.

About 15-20 minUtes 🙂 Often when I’m walking,or driving or just about to sleep…but the most felt and most concentrated upon times are when I kneel in front of an image of Our Lady, or after Holy Cummunion.Thats my aim at the moment,to make that little extra effort, find a quiet time, light a candle and kneel and really reflect.

How do you manage to do that?
I pray it every night right before bed. A glass of wine, me and the cat. It’s part of my nightly bed-time ritual. I do it because Our Lady asked us to. I don’t do it well, nor do I enjoy it much. Just being honest. It’s a chore that I offer up.
How long does it take you to say the rosary?
25 minutes if I’m not distracted.
