For True Contrition For My Sins

Hi everyone. I am needing to make an Act of Perfect Contrition for my sins because I can’t get to confession until Saturday but I don’t yet have perfect contrition for my sins. Could you please pray for me that I would quickly get perfect contrition for my sins? :confused:

My favourite act of contrition :

**Forgive me my sins, O Lord, forgive me my sins;
the sins of my youth, the sins of my age, the sins of my soul,
the sins of my body; my idle sins, my serious voluntary sins;
the sins I know, the sins I do not know; the sins I have concealed
for so long, and which are now hidden from my memory.

I am truly sorry for every sin, mortal and venial,
for all the sins of my childhood up to the present hour.

I know my sins have wounded Thy Tender Heart,
O My Savior, let me be freed from the bonds of evil through
the most bitter Passion of My Redeemer. Amen.

O My Jesus, forget and forgive what I have been. Amen.

Thank you AnneMary. I appreciate that prayer. I prayed it and I do now feel forgiven. However, I do not know whether or not I am actually forgiven. I hope I am but whether or not I really am, I do not know for sure.

Make a good Act of Contrition and do go to confession as soon as you can.

I believe that God knows that we are trying and if we’re sincere, sometimes that’s the best we can do…

Will pray for you to find peace until you can confess and be absolved in Confession…
