For Winston, my dog

Hi everyone,

Please pray for my dog and best friend Winston. I am pretty sure he has a bowel obstruction. I barely have enough money for routine living expenses, I sure don’t have the money for doggie surgery.

Please pray that Winston’s obstruction or condition passes. He and his sister are the apple of my eye.

is he eating?..if so, feed him a can of pumpkin…as much as he will eat…can certainly do no harm

Thanks Peter115, thanks so far to everyone else. I usually put green beans in their food. I don’t have any pumpkin.

His predecessor was the same breed, carolina dog, aka American Dingo. They are snake hunters in the wild. They are indigenous to South Carolina and northern GA. They are very friendly. Never met a stranger. A man once said to me when we were walking, “What a happy dog.”

I had to put his predecessor, Wiley, down. I was utterly devastated. This was before I became Catholic, a life long goal. I was making money back then, and Wiley’s ashes came back from the pet crematory, and I got on my knees and wailed a prayer to God, asking him to heal my horrible pain, and when he could, to please send me a dog like Wiley. [short for Wiley Coyote]

Around or shortly before I started the conversion process, not only did God send me that dog, but he sent me the very same rare breed of dog, Winston and then later his sister, Isabel.

Even with mild Aspergers, I am not exactly good marriage material. These are my kids. If something happened to either one of these two gifts from God before their time, it would be devastating for me.

Handsome dog. Hopefully he’s okay, but even if he’s not, God forbid, he’ll have been a lucky dog to go through life with an owner who treated him as well as you clearly do.

You might try www.thepetfund.com because they offer financial assistance for veterinary services. Also, explain things to your vet and they may be able to put you on a very extended installment plan. For the Pet Fund, you need to go to their website, go to the drop down for Pet Owners, and click on Pet Fund application.

Dear Benedict the XI, you were a humble Dominican who rose quickly to become the leader of your order, then a cardinal, then a bishop. As a prelate, you one of the only ones to defend Pope Boniface when he was seized, beaten and forced from the palace. When you were elected to the See of St. Peter, you made sure that justice was served for your predecessor and shepherded your flock with fairness and gentleness. Though you only served eight months as pope, your tenure was marked with holiness. Pray for all who have posted here today, that we may be charitable and patient with all those who oppose us, submit to the will of God, and defend our faith until the bitter end. Bl.
