The Protestant/Pentecostal church my parents attends treat the baptism as a quick service, a “quickie” which they offer it every Saturday. Their course after the baptism comes on the same day immediately after the baptism and is mostly a six hour course. They even had a 1-3 day baptism event late at night this past week to force people to get baptized to speak in tongues. I did not attend the service as I was arriving home from work.

My brother who has autism is verbal, but is unable to advocate for himself. He is 22 years of age.
Tell the Pastor who is performing the baptism that you do not wish to be baptized. End point. If they try to drag you to the church to be baptized, leave. Also, if your brother is a minor or unable to speak for himself, call social services. Tell social services everything about your brother’s condition, your home life, and your parents’ beliefs. You deserve better than this. As a Protestant, I am ashamed of their behavior. This is disgusting.

Does your particular church belong to any denomination or conference? It might behoove you to let the higher-ups in the denomination/conference know what is going.

Definitely this if possible. You cant force someone to join a church. I really hope you find a way to move out and start a life of your own.

I have look at this link. I reached out to a few driving schools. One very new driving school that two weeks old inform me that they do not teach the disabled how to drive.

The other two driving schools in another Maryland county near me inform me they work with individuals with learning differences. The problem is differences in driving hours. What other questions should I ask these driving schools? I want to make sure I get what I paid for and my money’s worth when the time comes.
Try this link to find a certified driving school in Maryland. My prayers are with you.

The particular church is mostly Pentecostal/Prosperity Gospel. The headquarters of the church is based and originates in West Africa.
