Sacramentalist -
If you truely feel this way then save yourself a lot of frustration and move to China. Not one of your concepts is unique or original. They have indeed been used in the past with serious negative results. But hey, if that’s the society you want to live in, do Americans everywhere a favor and move to China.

Castrating a rapist doesn’t keep him from inflicting sexual harm. It just means his frustration leads to escalating the horrors to his victim.

health care IS about money. and it isn’t just unwed mothers who have a hard time with this issue either. maybe we should just “off” all the old folks? or the mentally disabled? I do not agree with a gov’t health care system, but I do think some serious reform needs to happen in the regulation of health in this country

oh and there’s a loophole to your plan. all they have to do is get married and then get divorced to avoid it.

i would never live in a country that legally and forcefully sterilizes anyone!! Its bad enough that people can choose to kill their own babies. I found the whole article sickening!
Me either!

I am submitting the Chlorine in the Gene Pool Act, which requires that anyone advocating the involuntarily sterilization of others be immediately involuntarily sterilized himself.😃
😃 **Ah Vern! We find something to agree about!👍 **

Yes, there should be forced sterilization. The state has a compelling interest. If women’s reproductive organs are going to be regulated by state and federal law. The same must apply to men.
Sperm is just another bodily function. It will decrease unwanted pregnancy. It is a right of society to protect itself. It is also a right to curtail the amount of children. The church has no business dictating it’s teaching to each state or the federal government. Couples who choose to have more than 3 children should be penalized. It’s selfish of couples who breed like rabbits and assume no responsibility for the rest of society.
I thought your profile says that you are a Christian?

I second that, Vern! 👍

You first.😛
Not a big deal. It controls unwanted pregnancy. If you want to force your political and religious beliefs. You should expect the same applied to you. Forced birth control will rid us unwanted aor unintended pregnancy. There would be no need for abortion. That would make all the ant- abortion people happy.

I beg your frickin pardon?! :banghead: Nobody outside of God’s holy church is gonna tell me how many kids I can and cannot have! I don’t think it’s selfish to want a big family. The more children who are born means more doctors, lawyers, teachers, and scientists. The cure for AIDS maybe be discovered by someone who was the seventh child in their family. Society has no right to limit or abort life. Only God can do that. As someone else said, cut your own nuts off and move to china. But stay the hell away from my ovaries.

Given the de-population of Europe and the reduced fertility rate in the U.S. (hovering near the replacement rate), couples who have many children are to be supported, congratulated, and encouraged.

The coming crisis in medicare, medicaid, and social security is to a large extent a result of the baby boomers and subsequent generations’ failure to have enough children (i.e. future workers and taxpayers.) If our economy is to survive, it will be these children of large families who will support the boomers in their old age.

Some countries find this problem so serious that they are paying parents and giving tax breaks to those who have more children.

God’s “HOLY CHURCH”. Has no right to tell me or my wife what to do with our relationship. The church needs to stay out of our bedroom and our reproductive choices. We make the choice about our lives and our children. No Pope, No Bishop, belongs in our bedroom. When the church pays my bills, it can decide what’s best for us.
Be at Peace!

Now see there’s a tell tale sign of the conscience at work. The Church has just as much right to an opinion as anyone else. To say “this is right and that is wrong”. By all means, you most certainly do have free will to do whatever you please. No one can stop you from jumping into the fire. You can sin all you want. But don’t get ticked at the Church for warning you that it’s not a good or smart thing to do.

This is the last resort of a desperate conscience. “Don’t tell me what to do! Don’t you judge me! I’m my own person and can do anything I want!” like an petulant teenager when parents tell them a truth they do not like.

Lemee get this straight – a person who wants to castrate other men and spay other women says no one can tell him what to do?

Apparently. And apparently the church has no right to say what can go on in the bedroom, but the state does.

I’m just gonna be a good catholic wife and by the grace of God and my futrue husband have 6 little Catholics (I tell everyone I want six, but the range is at least 4 to maybe 12 haha) and help out number people like sosayi1960. Eventually there will have to be more good prolife Republicans then liberals and then maybe things will finnally change in this country.

You don’t need a Pope or a Bishop in your bedroom -but you do need God there.

The church needs to stay out of reproductive choices but the government needs to be in them? The government should have more authority than God? People who chose to actually use their reproductive organs as God intended should be penalized?

What church do you belong to - The Church of Secular Authority? Give me a break.

Pro-Life Democrat is an oxymoron (no matter how much one of my friends would disagree) and I said good Pro-Life Republicans would outnumber liberals which inculds prochoice Republicans.

This thread has now devolved into a political diatribe…just what the moderator warned against. Disturbing to me…and quite counter-productive. Once political parties become the subject…we are in ‘troubled waters’.

Peace be with you all.
🙂

Yes, I looked at the OP and it began in a political way…so, to Sacramentalist…why do that?

You cannot be a GOTH and a Catholic.
