Forgiveness of Veniel Sins

Can you please tell me some ways in which veniel sins are forgiven?

If I"m not mistaken during mass they are. I forgot the technical term but when we confess our sins, etc. in the beginning that is absolving us of our venial sins, although we must truely be sorry; however I also belive that its strongly suggested to also confess certain venial sins that are habitual when we go to our regular confession.

Please correct me if I am wrong. There are some much smarter people on this forum, so hopefully you’ll get some better answers.
 
by being sorry for them, avoiding doing them again, repenting, and asking.
 
The simplest ways are 1) A good sincere act of contrition, including a resolution not to commit those sins again, and
  1. making a sign of the cross with Holy Water.

In the “question 87”, the paragraphs beginning with “objection __” are incorrect or inaccurate opinions or statements.

The paragraphs beginning with “I answer that” or “Reply to objection __” are St. Thomas Aquinas’ correct opinions and statements (St. Thomas Aquinas is a Doctor of the Church).

What little I’ve read of the Summa Theoligica is like that. It is like reading an argument where St. Thomas Aquinas first states the opposing opinion as best as he can. And then identifies the correct understanding.

Hope this helps you to read some of St. Thomas Aquinas. He is such a great thinker, and the logic is not as hard to follow as many believe. Once you see how St. Thomas Aquinas writes, it is not so hard to follow.

Yes. From the Catechism of the Catholic Church:

“1416 Communion with the Body and Blood of Christ increases the communicant’s union with the Lord, forgives his venial sins, and preserves him from grave sins. Since receiving this sacrament strengthens the bonds of charity between the communicant and Christ, it also reinforces the unity of the Church as the Mystical Body of Christ.”

Of course, one must be in a state of grace to receive communion.
