My daughter went over to a lady who refused to talk to her to apologize. As with most situations there was fault on both sides of the issue. I convinced my daugther it wasn’t worth the arguement or winning but needed to ask forgiveness and move on. (taking the “high road”) She did as I suggested, baked some cookies and brought them over tonight and apologized…she wouldn’t forgive her but said she needed time. My daughter left feeling a bit sad but relieved to have stepped forward. Please pray for forgiveness and healing. (This woman is not a believer in Christ, my daughter is.) I know God can work for good in all situations and pray so for this situation. Thank you for your prayers.

Prayer for the Strength to Forgive

Faultless Lord, enduring death for us all,
You have consummated the debt of our sins:
Your sacrifice of forgiveness is absolute!
Grant us, especially this lady,
the strength to also forgive others,
To excuse transgressions against us.
So we may truly reflect this spiritual fruit,
Obliterate any persistent feelings of malice.
Let each trespass end as a closing chapter,
Continuing on the road of righteousness.
Forgive our sins as we aspire to forgive others.
You are truly the model of forgiveness.
You are a most forgiving Lord!

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (mlz and daughter), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity.
