As I mentioned in other threads, I had a bad conflict with other Catholics on another site. I won’t go into details as to what the disagreement was about, but what they said was very offensive, even treacherous in a sense.

I have been saying a rosary novena for them, as well as for myself, but I’d like to ask for anyone here, to pray also for them and for me particularly, that I can forgive them and move on.

Thank you.

A Peaceful Winter Break Prayer Intentions
I have been working on another forum site in which I do evangelization, although I also converse with fellow-Catholics on there as well. I had been planning to go on a break during Advent however, several ordeals has led me to decide to take my break early. One of the things that has led me to take this break early was the conduct of several of my fellow-Catholics on that forum site, it got borderline treacherous, I just had one final angry exchange on there, (in which I probably overreacted) an…
I thought you were going on a winter break? You probably should.

I am, this is referring to one of those ordeals, (the final to be exact) as I said in another thread, I thought I had gotten over it but last night, and little this afternoon, the memories of what was said back then started resurfacing again.

I need help overcoming this.

Praying that you God gives you the ability to forgive and move forward in your life

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.

Thank you, I needed that.

I struggle a lot with fear and cynicism.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of grace,
The Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb,
Jesus
Holy Mary
Mother of God
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of death,
Amen

Thank you everyone for your prayers. I have improved, but I still struggle with these thoughts from time to time.

Please keep praying.

I’m making a lot of progress but I’m still struggling a lot, I just hit another, sort of spell of anger this afternoon, and I’m struggling to pull out of it.

Thank you for your prayers.

Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words
— go outside that house or town and shake the dust
from your feet. (Matthew 10:14)

I have prayed for you, but you have gone to confession right? It is one of the best ways to recover from the past and start a new life of peace.

Yes, I have mentioned this in confession. I also plan on mentioning this the next time go there. I have pulled out of that anger spell now, I am a bit concerned about how to pull out of one of those spells in the future though, I don’t know how to take my mind off those things.

If anger is a regular problem and you need more advice than your priest can give, you might seek out a counselor or psychologist to learn how to control the emotion. A spiritual director can be another help. (You might even be able to find both in one person; some spiritual directors are also trained in psychology). God bless. I have faith God will lead you through this.

I’m planning on getting a spiritual director, in fact just yesterday I started a novena asking for a good one. I may post another request on here asking for prayers that I find a good spiritual director, but I’m going to keep optimistic about this.
