Forgotten Confirmation Saint

I’ve long since forgotten which saint I picked to be patron for my confirmation (which was 35+ years ago). Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do? Did you just pick another saint that you now resonate with?

I don’t think it really matters. Just talk to saints that resonate more with you

You could pray to St. Anthony to help you remember your “lost” confirmation saint

You could pray to your unknown confirmation saint

Or you could just pick a new saint to pray to.

If you remember what church you received confirmation in (or the church you got baptized in), you could call the office and ask them to check their archives.

Yes, this is something you might try. We record the person’s Confirmation saint name in the Confirmation records book at my parish. I’m not sure if all do, but it’s something to try.

But even if you cannot remember, there is no sort of restrictions on developing relationships with other saints. I have my Confirmation saint, but I ask other saints for help, too.

Call the parish where you were Confirmed. It may be recorded in the book.
