Every year around Halloween I recall a hymn we used to sing in grade school back in the late 50s. I can’t remember its name or all of the lyrics. We would have a procession for All Saints’ Day where we would dress up as our patron saints (I was always Michael the Archangel - no, my name isn’t really Ron 
).
After the procession we would sing the hymn. It was a dialog between us mere mortals and the hosts of heaven. What I remember of it goes something like this: (ellipses stand for forgotten lines)
(The mortals sing)

Look on us, o ye elect
Tell us what repays your combat
Tell us what we may expect
(The Saints reply)
…
Eye has not seen, ear has not heard
…
That for us God has reserved
Does anyone remember this hymn? It drives me crazy every year!!
