When a person remembers a forgotten mortal sin, is that person obliged to confess it imediately, or can it wait a couple of weeks when the person would normally return to confession?

When a person remembers a forgotten mortal sin, is that person no longer in a state of grace, and therefore unworthy to receive communion?

Are not all of a person’s sins forgiven when he makes a confession to the best of his knowledge?

You can receive communion, as long as you didn’t DELIBERATELY withhold a mortal sin in confession. I’m not sure, but I don’t think you need to rush to confession, just mention the sin next time you go, provided it is in the next month or so. I deal with this a lot - I converted to Catholicism and I still remember sins from years ago…I’m always confused as to whether they were mortal because I wasn’t Catholic, and I was in very young, so I don’t know if I had full knowledge and consent at the time. Finally a priest told me just not to worry anymore about any sins of my past, that I was genuinely trying to ammend my life and had made a sincere confession, and that is all he asks of me, and Jesus does not want me to feel anxious about receiving his mercy. There’s no obligation to confess it immediately or soon or anything like that. You can just confess it whenever you happen to go next time to confession (i.e. when you would normally return to confession as you said).

No, he is still in the state of grace. Only a mortal sin can make one lose the state of grace and remembering something is not a mortal sin! 😉

Yes they are all forgiven.
