Forgotten mortal sins

Today I confessed my sins and right after I did my act of contrition, I remembered a forgotten mortal sin that I forgot to confess at my last confession. I did not state the forgotten sin because the priest was talking, and then he absolved me of my sins. Did I make an invalid confession because I did not confess a forgotten mortal sin that was forgiven at my last confession?

You mean you and finished your confession of your sins and then you remembered a forgotten mortal sin as the Priest was talking and then the Priest went right into absolution…

You are forgiven and can receive communion. Just try (once again ) to remember this sin in your next confession. I don’t interupt the priest either. Seems rude to me! God understands you didn’t purposfully forget it. Only if you “forget” it on purpose is that a sin. And that would be an invalid confession. You honestly forgot during your confession, confess it next time.

So it would only be a invalid confession if the sin wasn’t already forgiven?
