We’re about a year away from our 20th anniversary Mass, and I’ve been thinking about printing up a program for the Mass that includes the readings we will be using as well as the hymns we will be singing. Does anyone know where I can find a format that I can download and just add in the readings, psalms, hymns, etc.? If I can avoid typing the whole thing, I’d be very relieved and thankful!

My thinking is, if people want a souvenir of the day, they can take the program home and it will probably be more meaningful than a matchbook or box of TicTacs with our names and the date printed on them!

Thanks for any help!

The Format is:
Entrance hymn
Prayers (if you want to add the opening prayers Gloria etc.)
Reading 1
Responsorial Psalm
Reading 2 (if you are having two readings)
Gospel
Prayers of the Faithful
Creed (if you are saying it at the Mass)
Offertory
Holy, holy
Eucharistic prayer
Lamb of God
Communion hymn
closing prayer
closing hymn
Of course you may pick and chose what you want to add to your program. I have typed many and depending on the people attending have done it several different ways. If there are a lot of non Catholics attending it is best to add the prayers so they can follow along if they chose to.
You can even go as simple as putting the reading Genesis 1:1-12 with just the response for the responsorial psalm etc. It just depends on how many sheets you want your program to be.

Thanks, but what I meant was a format where the prayers, responses, Eucharistic Prayers, etc. were already written and all I had to do was download it and insert our readings, responsorial psalm and hymns. Basically, it would be just like the missalette.

I’m probably being as clear as mud, so let me know if this doesn’t make sense! I’m just trying to avoid having to type the entire Order of the Mass from the missalette myself!

Thanks!

I have an MS word document for you, that has:
- the order of the mass
Code:
 - "blank" parts for you to (name removed by moderator)ut the "propers" (changeable
parts, like the readings) of the mass,

 - as well as places where you can choose which of
the "ordinary" parts of the Mass you're going to be using
(such as, are you using the Kyrie in Latin or English).
PM me and I will email it to you.

Here’s a place to download the outline:
catholic-resources.org/ChurchDocs/Mass.htm

Here’s a liturgical calendar that will give you the readings:
