Does anyone know of any Miles Christi contacts or events in So. California?
Yes. Miles Christi has been very well received in SoCal. So well that I understand they have recently, or will soon be, stationing a couple of priests out there.

A quick look at their website indicates they will be having retreats in 2009 in:
  • Santa Barbara;
  • Oceanside;
  • San Juan Batista; and,
  • Temecula

That is GREAT news! Thanks.

I just recently, two weeks ago attended a Miles Christi silent retreat for women. It was absolutely incredible! The focus is on the spiritual exercises that St. Ignatius of Loyola instituted. I am interested in learning more and getting involved in prayer groups, but unfortunately, there are no groups here in NC at the time.

Songofsunday,

If you’d like to PM me, I can do my best to put you in contact with the coordinator for women’s small groups in your area. You need a minimum number of ladies to start a group.

I’m so glad you have been blessed by the retreat!

That being said, I am not sure why you so randomly bring the Legionnaires into the matter - they weren’t being discussed or being asked about

God bless you all. I just want to say that bringing the Legionnaires into a conversation about Miles Christi is not so random. LC was not being discussed, this is true but, I would guess the first thought most of us had when initially introduced to MC was “they remind me of LC/RC.” And people are just wondering how they are and aren’t alike. This is the very reason I am on this thread. Thank you, to those who posted the similarities and differences.

Receiving this post is so interesting. Just two days ago, I mailed in my registration to attend this year’s Miles Christi Silent retreat. Last year I attended two silent retreats but did not join a group.

I am eager to see what God has in store for me this year.

Prayers,
Song

The Novitiate and the School of Philosophy for Argentina are situated in the House of Formation San José de Luján (St. Joseph of Lujan), only a few miles away from the National Shrine of Our Lady of Luján.

Theological studies are pursued by members of our community in the Parish of San Filippo Neri, in Castel Giuliano (Bracciano, Rome). These students attend classes at the Pontifical Universities in the City of Rome. In this way, the future Priests of our Religious Order are given an excellent opportunity to absorb the Roman character (romanitas) and universality of the Church, and to grow in their closeness and love for the Holy Father.
