Former associate pastor died and neighbor had a heart attack

The former associate pastor of my parish died unexpectedly Monday. I just found out about it today. He had to leave active ministry because he could barely walk and needed a double knee replacement and gastric bypass surgery. He finished his work at the parish in March and I asked another priest a few weeks ago how he was doing. He said that he had his surgeries, lost a lot of weight, and was recovering happily. His death came as a shock to everybody as the folks visiting him kept confirming that he was fine. He was only 52 years old, very good and intelligent priest. We have the same alma mater.

My neighbor had a heart attack earlier this week and he was taken to the hospital two days later. My mom is looking for news on what went on, but it is dead quiet at their house. Please pray that he is okay. He is only middle aged and took care of himself. Him and his family are very devout Catholics and members of my parish.

neighbor, for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health he may give thanks to You
in Your Church. Through Christ our Lord, Amen. ✝️
 
Eternal rest grant unto Your priest, O Lord, let perpetual light shine upon him and may his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, Rest In Peace. Amen.
Heavenly Father. Please hold the OP’s neighbor in the palm of your hand. Please comfort and sustain him and his family. Please give them the courage and insight to know when to reach out to the community, and to accept whatever support they need. And may their friends and family be able to respond in the way best suited to the greatest good of everybody involved. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Okay, my mom just told me that my neighbor apparently had a stroke, not a heart attack and that he is recovering in the hospital and should be home within a few days. Still, keep praying for him and for our deceased priest.
 
Praying that your former Pastor rest in peace. May family and loved one find support from each other and our Lord during this time of grief.

Praying your neighbor will recovery fully and have no complications from his heart attack.
