You won’t believe the absolutely horrific things these former Catholics have to say about the Catholic Church and it’s members. This is not for the faint of heart.
They are ferocious. But then again, apostates are not afraid to rail against glories.

There are all kinds of nutjobs out there. I just don’t pay any attention to them.
 
Wonder what a non-Christian would think about Christianity after going to their site?
 
What blows my mind about the site is that in some of their recent articles, they are quoting RALPH WOODROW against the Catholic Church. For those of you who don’t know, Woodrow was a fierce anti-Catholic who in recent years REPUDIATED every evil thing he had written against the Catholic faith. Even though he has not converted to Catholicism, Woodrow published an article about his change of mind in a recent issue of THIS ROCK magazine.

Lacking any specific duty to contend with them, I see no reason to visit their site.

Or indeed to do anything except pray for them.

Indeed. Even though our instinct is to rush in and correct these lost souls, based on the experiences of those who have tried, we would be “casting pearls before swine” because they would certainly “turn and rend” any efforts to help them see the truth. Prayer is our only recourse when people get this far from Christ’s Church. 😦

Didja ever notice there are no equivalent *Catholic * organizations like this? I mean, you hear about “Former Catholics For Christ,” “Missions To Catholics,” and even “Christians Evangelizing Catholics” (all real organizations), but where are the corresponding Catholic attack-dogs?

Organizations like “Catholic Answers” and “Catholics United For The Faith” tend to be defensive in nature and are mostly interested in answering the attacks. Could it be these ex-Catholics are suffering a little guilt for leaving what they know is the True Church and feel they need to justify their mistake? :hmmm:

Just to further show anti-Catholic bigotry is alive and well, why don’t you see organizations like “Former Methodists For Christ,” or “Missions To Anglicans,” or even “Christians Evangelizing Eastern Orthodox”? Didja ever notice? :hmmm: :hmmm:
 
Hey…that was a very insightful website…I just found out something I didn’t know before I read that site…DId you know that The Vatican engages in Terrorism? :rolleyes:

When I read filth like that…I think of Goebbels…nothing but a bunch of propaganda and lies…plain filth.
 
About a hundred years ago in this country there was a spate of ex-priests and ex-nuns running around the country doing what they could to hurt the reputation of the Church. The Knights of Columbus were kept busy exposing and combating their propaganda machines. These things happen in waves. The Reformation itself began the process by which misfit Catholics could exploit their misfit rebellious natures and turn betrayal and disgrace into profit.

Yeah that is rather odd. From what I understand Eastern Orthodox are startalingly simliar to Catholics. I never thought about the fact that there arn’t anyone yelling at them like they do us. Why not?
 
Y’know… in looking through all their links, I can guarentee that you are going to see or have already seen some of this rhetorical trash posted to us here and other Catholic forums. I saw several pages that I recognized from answering them. It’s worthwhile to note where ya saw them, (I have a special bookmark folder labeled “Anti-Catholicism and crazy teachings” just for storing this stuff so I can go back and see where they actually got it from and then refute it. It almost always turns out that they have not checked the veracity of the info they post, (Like the trash that Former Catholics for Christ uses for their posters. I think they really are a hate group, and it’s a shame.) so many people will believe just about anything…and especially anything bad that they hear or see about the Catholic Church without asking for the sources. If you look into the sources, you always find bias and and agenda-driven assertions that are either gross distortions of the truth, (like the inquisition numbers that you hear, which would have depopulated Europe at that time if true), or are just outright lies that offer no corroboration because none exists. You can hunt til your brains fall out and never find anything but the quoted statement from the guy who said it…meaning that he’s it. It never happened, but someone believes it because he said it.

Some people conveniently forget the Biblical standard for testimony:
Deuteronomy 17:6 By the mouth of two or three witnesses shall he die that is to be slain. Let no man be put to death, when only one beareth witness against him.

Deuteronomy 19:15 One witness shall not rise up against any man, whatsoever the sin or wickedness be: but in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word shall stand.

Matthew 18:16 And if he will not hear thee, take with thee one or two more: that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may stand.

2nd Corinthians 13:1 Behold, this is the third time I am coming to you: In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word stand.

Hebrews 10:28 A man making void the law of Moses, dieth without any mercy under two or three witnesses:

A couple of years ago I went to that site for a while, but eventually quit as you can’t reason with crazy people. You just can’t. I would feel like I needed to wash my hands clean of the filth they spewed.
 
The Ralph Woodrow stuff is great! As for the so-called former Catholic link-= the web site is pure Tripe. I really don’t beleive that many of them were truly Catholic. and even if they were Catholic in name it was only that. Being a former protest-ant myself, if you truly know the Catholic faith you cannot go anywhere else. This IS THE FAITH!!! 🙂
