I stand by my posting. You are being mislead, no matter what you think the Lord is ‘calling’ you to do. He doesn’t lead you out of His own Church!
Did you not read the part were I said it had nothing to do with God or the religion or did you miss that part? If I’m being mislead as you say then let me be mislead because if being a catholic means being like you then you can keep it. You are just like the nuns I had in school except you do it verbally. I won’t attack your parents like you did mind because I have more respect than that. Also do you really think you are doing God any good by your actions? Are being a good example to the catholic faith by saying the things you say? Is that what God expects of you? Just listen to yourself, really listen to yourself. You sound like a man/woman full of hate. Why didn’t you answer my questions? All you said was I stand by my posting. Once again what have you done, why not answer the question I showed you the respect and answered your questions.

He is wonderfull. I cant stop praising His name. Jesus.
He is my rock in times of affliction He is my light and my love of my heart. Jesus I just cant stop praising His name Jesus. He is my all in all. He took me out of darkness and translated me into His glorious light. Jesus He took upon himelf all my sin all my inequity and gave me His resurrection power to a new life. He took my old man and nailed him to a tree and then He clothed me with His righteousness so I could walk with God as the ancients did. Jesus. I cant stop praising His name.Jesus. He bought me out of slavery and ransomed me so that I can sit with Him and He calls me friend. Jesus. He paid it all full price so that I can be called a son of the Most High God. Jesus, wonderfull Jesus.
I agree with everything except one thing Jesus Christ did not clothe me with his righteousness he infused me with it so I may attain a holiness worthy of Heaven.

When God looks at a Christian he no longer sees a wicked sinner. He sees his beloved child because that child has the righteousnes of Christ imputed to him. On the Cross Christ said “it is finished.”

Before I go to Heaven I wish to be holy (God infused me with grace so I may learn to follow his example) inside and out. God bless.

You are justified in his sight because of Christ’s work if you are saved. However, you cooperate with the work of the Holy Spirit in your sanctification throughout life and grow in Godlieness. The moment you die you will be shed of your wicked flesh and will be holy by the work of the Holy Spirit. When your body is resurrected it will be an uncorrupt body.

Is 61
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the earth brings forth its bud,

I was redeemed and saved but I can lose that gift through sin.

Hey- I’m not really responding to this post per-say I just wanted to get your attention lol. I read your first post you had written. I think that what you had to go through in Catholic school is very sinful. As a teacher, I cannot stand hearing about stories where children used to get beat while learning. By no means am I saying the behavior at that school is right. But you did state that you sent your son back to the SAME school. Maybe there is something wrong with that school in general? I grew up in a Catholic school and I was never hit (I’m only 22), and I have been to a couple by my house (for teaching reasons), and I have never seen any child hit there either.
I think that what you are doing is very wonderful, and I to have two grandparents in nursing homes, and I know they would love to hear someone talk about God more often! All the stewardship you are doing is out of love, love that Jesus wanted all of us to have.
I dont think that Peary went about talking about any of this correctly at all. While I do stand on the belief, that maybe you should give the Catholic Church another shot, it is ultimately up to you. And coming at you the way Peary did, makes you stray further from the Church.
I really wish you would give the Church another shot. Not the SCHOOL! Again I am very sorry all of this happened to you and your son. Do you mind telling me what problems you have with the Church (things you do and do not believe?)
Here are some resources I think you would enjoy:
Rome sweet Home- Scott Hahn (Scott’s conversion as a Protestant minister to a Catholic)
The Lamb’s Supper- Scott Hahn (This is about the mass, Eucharist, and the Book of Revelation)
www.scripturecatholic. com (gives biblical evidence for our beliefs)

I think that everything you are doing in your new found faith is awesome! BUT I think that you can still do all of these things if you decide Catholicism is right for you. (You could be a deacon in the Church, instead of a Priest since they have to be married)…
I hope this post was helpful, and I hope you dont find it rude… Because I am all about sharing my love as well 🙂

You must be on the budget plan then. I’m sorry? When Christ said “it is finished” did they forget to record the josie L clause? 😃

Hi DD 🙂

it is finished but it (redemption) needs to be applied to us somehow.

God bless.

Hi Monica! 😃

Nice to see you here sister.:hug3:

It is applied to us by the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit who brings us to faith and sees us through to the end. 😉

Thank you. This was back in the 60’s and like I said in my post, I thought things might have changed, after all its been about 30 plus years ago.

I don’t believe in telling a priest your sins, thats between you and God only.
I don’t believe in praying to anybody eles but God or Jesus.
I don’t believe a priest should be able tell you who your childs godparent can be.
Thats all I’m going to say on this because I have been ripped apart on other sites for the same thing. I do understand the catholic religion and have nothing against it and the way they do things but its not for me. I do believe in God, I just praise him in a different way then the catholics do. Is that so wrong, at least I do that instead of not believing in him at all. If I’m wrong about religion or the way I worship him thats up to God to judge me, not man.

AMEN! Well like I said before if you are ever interested in looking for more resources on Catholic “evidence” go to the scripturecatholic.com website!

So you’re saying I can do whatever I want, i.e., sin to my heart’s content but that I’ll never lose my salvation, that’s ridiculous and insulting to God. Jesus did not die so we could remain in our sins. God bless.

You can do whatever you want. If you are saved you will want to glorify God and you will hate sin and if you do sin you will want to repent.

But what if I don’t repent and I continue sinning can’t I lose my gift?

Well,

I believe that praying to anything other than God is wrong. I don’t believe in transubstantiation. I don’t believe we should make images of Christ and bow down to statues. I believe in sola scriptura. I don’t believe in apostolic succession as defined by the RCC. I don’t believe the pope is the successor of Peter. I don’t believe a priest can forgive or retain sins. I believe all Christians who have been regenerated are priests. I don’t believe in indulgences. I don’t believe in purgatory. I don’t believe Mary was sinless, assumed into heaven, co-mediatrix or co-redemptrix. I don’t believe Mary has anything to do with the Church today at all. I think she is in heaven awaiting the resurrection like all the other souls. I don’t believe that the RCC as it is today is the original church Christ founded. I don’t believe works contribute to salvation at all. I think the RCC needs to reform.

So, I had to leave. I think it was probably best for everyone. 🙂
Yeah, you’re probably right on that point, unfortunately.
