Just more “ignore the accusations, just attack the accuser” nonsense.

The WaPo also accuses the president of being “complicit” with a hurricane.

Media is always a key player. If their reporting is true it’s not necessarily a bad thing. Lifesite whines about everything but I had thought that NCRegister is respectable.

The secular media, and its liberal coverage of religious news, reaches far more people than Catholic media.

Okay, well if I were a Catholic blowing a whistle, I’d probably report to EWTN or the Register too. Why? Because I’d trust them before I’d ever trust the alphabet soup media and the likes of the WaPo or the New York Times. I’ve not found their reporting about any Catholic related news to be trustworthy for years. They have a large reach, but I would not trust them to tell the truth or relay anything of my concerns with any accuracy.

Oh what about the other so-called “Catholic” wing of the media? Would I trust them? I’ll just leave this comment from an article reader here:
Good article. There are Catholics publications that are not house organs or far-right propaganda sheets. The best may be the respected moderate weekly, The National Catholic Reporter, published in Kansas City. Then there is the excellent quarterly journal Conscience, published by the Washington-based Catholics for Choice. I recommend both.

The WP and their ilk seem to have no concept of searching for truth.

“I would never make a spot with a homosexual family,” Barilla said Thursday on the Italy radio program La Zanzara ( The Mosquito ), according to Italian news agency ANSA. “Not out of a lack of respect but because I do not see it like they do. (My idea of) family is a classic family where the woman has a fundamental role.”

WP and other secular media giants are largely responsible for twisting the arm of decent people seeking and living the Truth. While we still have time and space…kick back…lest you be hung and dried like this poor man…and so many like him.

Don’t be confused. Know where you are headed.

Oh, that’s amazing. National Catholic Reporter is moderate?? Catholics for Choice is Catholic??

I’m out of the loop on those media outlets, but as Fr. Benedict Groeschel said 10 years ago, the Catholic Church has handed the leftist media the sword. There is no surprise. When THE moral authority of the world becomes contaminated as the Church has, the secularist, so-called humanist philosophy fills the void.

Seems to be a lot of protesting against this article’s claims. They seem reasonable to me given that I’ve heard calls for the pope’s resignation via EWTN-carried programs.

Keep in mind Fr. G also said the Church’s response on this issue was no different from that of other religious and secular systems that served children decades ago. It should have been better, but wasn’t.

If the Church had not handed them THIS sword, they would have found some other sword to use against the Church.
