So I was just eating some delicous General Tso’s Chicken and got to the fortune cookie. I bit into it first, and took out the fortune and read it before eating the rest, as per the custom I learned; so that the furtune would come true.
Here’s my question, however innocent, would fortune cookies be considered a sin, consulting a medium or fortune teller (Deut 18:10)? Of course I don’t believe in any sort of divination sans Joseph and other Biblical prophiesis, but is it wrong to look and laugh at these fortunes?
Just curious what the opinion of others is.
