Thank You

I’ve read a little of John Aretakis’ involvement and research in the Diocese of Albany, and he is fantastic. (And I mean that in a very “good” way.)

Yes. He is very well respected here by those people who want to see that justice is done for the victims of clerical sexual abuse.

So if you’re in or around the Albany/Latham N.Y. area Panis, I would highly recommend that you attend.

The speakers are top notch, and you’ll find yourself in the good company of those who are seeking Truth and Justice.

Father Groeschel who is also a psychologist gave a talk on EWTN many years ago on that subject. I am not certain but his talk might be in the archives in the EWTN audio library. Father Benedict (nice name) was the counselor for many “wayward” priests in New York. He came to the conclusion that the acceptance of homosexual behavior in priests during the 60’s (liberalism) was the downfall of the church.

Fr. Groeschel IS a great priest! 👍

He is obedient to the Church’s Teachings, and lovingly so.

So quite naturally then, I agree with you (and him) ally! 🙂

Oh yeah! You can look at the statistics and the abuse of boys just SPIKED in the 60s and 70s. It’s not a child abuse issue as the abuse of girls, while equally disgusting, is something that is basically very rare and very static. But I think as the 60s happened and the straight priests left, often to get married, it resulted in the homosexuals sort of getting run of the place. It wasn’t until we realized the incredible evil that resulted that anything was done. It is no coincidence that this perversion started when people were hearing ‘if it feels good do it.’ Sadly some took this philosophy to heart.

Just curious.

Is anyone from here on Catholic Answers Forum close to where this OPEN FORUM is being held (central NY State), and is considering going?
