The answer depends on who you ask. For example, at the Catholic college, holy Cross college, they have students participate in a play called the V_monologues on Ash Wednesday, so apparently these Catholic authorities don;t consider participation in such lewd plays to be sinful. Also, they seem to be promoting the thrust of the play which is that a young lady can attain her personal salvation by immoral lesbian relations with an older lesbian lady. For another example, at EWTN, I read that they do not consider that there is anything wrong with the novels of the Catholic priest Father A. Greeley. My personal opinion is that EWTN is wrong and that there is something seriously amiss with language used by Father Greeley which blasphemes the Almighty. I thought that blasphemy was a mortal sin, but apparently, it is thought to be OK these days if a Catholic priest makes money by selling this type of novel.
