Umm…I haven’t read the book they gave you, but I think it is a good one. I recommend Catholicism For Dummies by Frs. Trigilio & Brighenti. It is published by the same folks who do all the “For Dummies” series and in the same format. It will get you up and running in no time at all! LOL I wish it was available when I went through RCIA. It would have been most helpful.

I hope you already have a copy of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and a Bible.

No Catechism. They’re going to give us bibles next week. NAB probably, but thanks to Beans, I have an RSV bible.

Those are the two books I got handed. I basically read my way into the Church, so asking me for book titles is risky. I have a small library in my dinky apartment and that’s no joke. Oh well, I’m a bookworm. Sue me.

That is the same book we use at my parish. It is basic, but good.
