I recently came across information about the Fourteen Holy Helpers and was wondering if anyone has a particular devotion to them? It seems they were invoked many years ago during the Black Plaque and during wars and were very instrumental in intercessing in times of danger. Also, many paintings of our Blessed Mother have her surrounded with the Fourteen Holy Helpers.

The Fourteen Holy Helpers are a group of saints venerated together in Roman Catholicism because their intercession is believed to be particularly effective, especially against various diseases.***

Thank you, Magdalena59, for making me aware of these very special saints! Personally, I am encouraged to know that we have this group of saints and that they were considered to be particularly effective against various diseases! For instance, Ebola, that seems to not only be threatening our borders but has actually found a small foothold within our borders. Now maybe they can stop it where it is, but what of those that were in close proximity of the hospitalized man? Can we be absolutely sure? 🤷

I plan to begin including the Fourteen Holy Helpers in my daily prayers! Again, Magdalena59. Thank you for bringing it to my attention! 🎉
