Novena to St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta -**Day 9 **

Holiness is Jesus acting and living within me.

God from within. Therefore the one who is most united to Him loves her neighbor most.

Our activity is truly apostolic only in so far as we permit Him to work in us and through us - with His power, with His desire, with His love. We must become holy not because we want to feel holy, but because Christ must be able to live fully in us.

Let us spend our lives in Him and for Him. Let Him see with your eyes, speak with your tongue, work with your hands, walk with your feet, think with your head and love with your heart. Is this not perfect union, a continual loving prayer? God is our loving Father. Let your love of light so shine that seeing your good works (the washing loving sweeping cooking, loving your husband and the children and Fr. Allard:) ) they may glorify the Father.

Be holy. Holiness is the easiest way to satiate Jesus’ Thirst, His for you and yours for Him.

Thought for the day: *Charity for others is the surest way to holiness. *
Ask for the grace to become a saint.

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta, you allowed the thirsting love of Jesus on the Cross to become a living flame within you, and so became the light of His love to all.

Obtain from the Heart of Jesus (Blessed Mother’s intentions for Fr. Allard.)

Teach me to allow Jesus to penetrate and possess my whole being so completely that my life, too, may radiate His light and love to others. Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, Cause of Our Joy, pray for Fr. Allard and me.
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, pray for Fr. Allard and me.

**
A priest is a priest forever…** So he concelebrated the holy sacrifice of the Mass, again … It’s a miracle . . . I appreciate Fr. Allard. Receiving our Lord in the most holy Eucharist helps him remain faithful . . .

So Fr. Allard’s brother’s here… 👋 …what a twist to this story!~

👋 *Hi Fr. Allard’s brother! * :hug3: I’m so glad you’re visiting here, even though I can’t see you… :whistle:

From 2008-2010, 3 years of daily Mass have been booked for all priests. ❤️ In September the Capuchin Friars booked daily Latin Mass for Fr. Allard. Maybe someone will relay that message to him – perhaps his inner man will be strengthened with joy…

When I arrive in Italy on the 18th of September 2009, I’ll visit St. Padre Pio. On the vigil of his feast day, I’ll entrust Fr. Allard to the care of St. Padre Pio, okay. I’ll be in Italy for 2 weeks.

Each canonized Saint and holy place I visit and when I pray before the Lanciano Eucharistic miracle, I’ll present Fr. Allard to each of them and during daily Mass. I’ll call on Fr. Allard’s Guardian Angel to assist me when I’m in Italy :yup: he just has to find the lady with the Texas hat … 😉

I’m grateful Fr. Allard prays for those who left the One faith to return home. I was raised Catholic, but I abandoned it for another Christian faith. All the many years I was gone, I kept looking for priests outside of the holy sacrifice of the Mass, but rarely did I find one. And when I saw a priest, my countenance was immediately filled with joy. I’d tell the priest how much I missed him… I guess I didn’t know I was longing to come home to the Catholic Church, in order to receive the holy sacraments. The few priests who crossed my path would smile for a reply, give me assurance they’d pray for me, then ask me to pray for them too…

In a short length of time after I reverted, my husband and 2 children converted. My husband told me my decision to be a Catholic was the best decision I ever made . . .

My words of appreciation for Fr. Allard are insufficient . . .
I’m grateful to Almighty God. He alone is the Holy One. He alone is the Lord, Jesus Christ . . who is faithful . . .

Glory Be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit
as it was in the beginning is now
and ever shall be
world without end.
Amen.

Fr. Allard pray for me… :hug3:

Fwd message** to NeedImprovement **from someone you know (name with-held).

Hey you! 🙂
A friend of mine visited a Shrine of St. Katharine Drexel on Sunday, September 9, 2009.

I was pleasantly surprised when he wrote: “Yes I prayed for Fr. Allard and his Chaplain Assistant at the shrine of Saint Katharine Drexel. God bless them.”

Isn’t that awesome? 🙂 Please check out his photos below.

Novena to St. Padre Pio for Fr. Allard - (Day 1)

1ST DAY

Beloved St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you have had the signs of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ on your body. You have carried this stigmata for everyone, enduring both the physical and mental sufferings that racked your soul and body in a continual sacrifice. We beg you to pray for Fr. Pere’ Allard, so that he will be able to accept both the little and the larger crosses he too must bear during his life on earth and to offer these sufferings to God, assuring him a place with God in Eternal Life.

***“Pray, pray to the Lord with me, because the whole world needs prayer. And every day, when your heart especially feels the loneliness of life, pray. Pray to the Lord, because even God needs our prayers.” *** St. Padre Pio de Pietrelcina

Praying for Fr. Allard and his assistant.

Hail Mary,
full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,

LEAD KINDLY LIGHT

by Cardinal John Henry Newman

Lead, kindly light, amid the encircling gloom,
Lead Thou me on;
The night is dark and I am far from home;
Lead Thou me on;
Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see
The distant scene; one step enough for me.

I was not ever thus, nor prayed that Thou
Should lead me on;
I loved to choose and see my path; but now
Lead Thou me on!
I loved the garish day, and spite of fears,
Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years!

So long Thy Power hast blest me, sure it still
Will lead me on;
O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till
The night is gone,
And with the morn those angel faces smile
Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile.

🙂

Novena to St. Padre Pio for Fr. Allard - 2nd DAY

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, together with Our Lord Jesus Christ, you’ve been able to withstand the temptations of the Devil. You suffered the beatings and the oppression of the demon of hell, who wanted to have you abandon your journey of holiness. We beg you to pray for us so that, with your help and the help of all of the Heavenly Kingdom, we will be able to find the strength to set sin aside and to persevere in our faith until the day of our death.

Holy Mary Mother of God and Padre Pio, please pray for Fr. Allard and me. Thank you!

“Have courage and do not fear the assaults of the Devil. Remember this forever; it is a healthy sign if the devil shouts and roars around your conscience, since this shows that he is not inside your will”. St. Padre Pio de Pietrelcina

** Novena Day 3 for Fr. Allard**

Virtuous St. Pio of Pietrelcina, you love Our Holy Mother very much and have received daily graces and consolations from her. Please, we beg you to pray to the Holy Mother for us. Place in her hands the sorrow for our sins and our prayers of reparation, so that, as at Cana of Galilee, her Son says ‘yes’ to His Mother and our name may be written in the Book of Eternal Life.

“Mary has to be the star that illuminates your path and she will show you the secure way to go to the Celestial Father. She will be an anchor to which you must cling in the hour of temptation”. Padre Pio

Where Father Allard is institutionalized, only 3 Masses per week are officially celebrated by the Chaplain: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. I always assist him on Sunday…only rarely now on Tuesdays and Thursdays however since there is another volunteer who loves to help him on those days and helping him concelebrate during a weekday Mass is much less complicated. Friday and Saturday I help him preside privately.

(Fr. Allard has been institutionalized about 9 years now) Fr. Allard would preside (celebrate privately) every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday faithfully until about 5 years ago – when it became too much for him. In all of those 9 years, he has not been able to preside w/o a properly trained assistant. Another person used to share that assistant position with me for several years up until that time 5 years ago – when the other person erroneously claimed Fr. Allard was no longer capable of celebrating Mass due to certain obstacles.

At that time the routine was changed : concelebration Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and presiding privately Fridays and Saturdays. This routine has continued for the last 5 years. It would take up a ton of pages to explain how we’ve endured certain setbacks and overcome/circumvented all the things that have threatened to stop Fr. Allard celebrating Mass (especially presiding).

Yet, after all those solutions due to human ingenuity – even ingenuity inspired by the Holy Spirit have been exhausted, it will always be reduced to the simplest form : We’re left with nothing to cling to but our faith…and the only way to get past obstacles at that point is to pray our way through them. This is the point we’re at now (when I say we, I’m welcoming aboard everyone praying for Fr. Allard with much gratitude for your prayers).

We may recall here that St. Augustine said, “Faith is belief in those things we cannot see…and the reward of that faith is that we will see all that we have believed.” I know now he wasn’t only talking about heaven, because thanks to everyone’s prayers for Fr. Allard, I’m beginning to see certain things…fruits if you like … things that medical science might find partially perplexing or a little awkward to fully explain.

On Tuesday and Thursday of this week (Sept. 8 & 10 ), Father Allard successfully concelebrated the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Chaplain. Yesterday when I phoned the other volunteer to get the (Tuesday +Thursday) summary, she told me that Fr. Allard had no voice (this happens frequently) although he concelebrated successfully. She added that he was looking a lot thinner :sad_yes: than we were used to seeing him.

Today, I wondered if he would be strong enough to celebrate Mass, and when I went up to his room this morning, thin as he was, he looked at me with determination and said (audibly between coughs), “ Today I can do it!” …:yup:

Although I’ve learned to fine tune my ears for whispering and have learned to read his lips in French to know where he is in the celebration of the Mass when he is w/o an audible voice, none of that was necessary today. Although he had no voice yesterday, today it was fairly clear. He only had one coughing bout, as he was reading the closing prayer, but it passed. There were 5 other people in attendance (3 of them patients) and they were happy to see Father Allard celebrating (presiding) once again.

After Mass, he said to me in a clear voice, “Now we’re going to pray the Rosary”; and although it would end up making him a little late for lunch, we prayed the Sorrowful mysteries with Fr. Allard saying the responses clearly and audibly – flawlessly.

What I would consider surely a major indicator of the power of everyone’s prayers was that for the first time in over a month, today I saw Fr. Allard smile and actually chuckle on several occasions. We are scheduled to attempt to have him preside tomorrow – Saturday Sept. 12.

I had asked the Guardian Angels of all praying for Fr. Allard to come to the Mass today and bring you back blessings. Fr. Allard also asked me to thank you for praying for him.

THANK-YOU

:grouphug:

And God Bless you all.
