Sounds like your priest might be burying his head…

I watched it. Always gives fantastic talks. 👍 Can’t wait to see him when he’s here in May. :bounce:

I don’t know what my parish thinks of him…it’s never been mentioned. I think he’s wonderful, I’m always learning something from his lectures.

🙂

For some reason, I can only listen to him on the radio and not on TV. I do not know why since I like him.

Father Levis talked once of how he gave this one homily. After mass a pius soul went up and berated him for being “too negative.” What a cosmic cave we’ve dug ourselves into. It’s like we are in this deep sleep and don’t want to be disturbed. Many priests or even us are afraid that we will be unwelcome in this country, unliked, despised, hated and rediculed. The reason people don’t like hearing about gloom and doom stuff is because they don’t want to take responsibility for their sin.

A lot of priests don’t like anything on EWTN. They consider it too conservative. A few years back, my wife and I were on parish council. We were discussing the media, and another person brought up the fact that she liked to listen to an evangelical station, and everybody agreed that it was a great station. I brought up the fact that EWTN had great Catholic programming, which was met with a cold shoulder. The priest commented that he doesn’t like it because it was too conservative. I was dumfounded, and never enjoyed being on the council anymore. Anyway, I think Fr. Corapi is just great.

Yea, Fr Corapi is a modern day St John the Baptist…and you know what happened to him! No wonder, Fr corapi needs 5 body guards! Well, let us all pray for him as we need so many more of him in the Church.

Really? Five body guards! (putting a hand on my forehead in unbelief) Has he been mugged or beaten? Boy, don’t be suprised when Elijah and Enoch return and these same people try to silence them. They will be slain by the anti-Christ. Speaking which of, is it possible that the third secret of Famita is connected somehow with the two witnesses being slain by the anti-Christ? I mean sacred tradition identifies the two witnesses as Peter and Paul. And the Successors of St. Peter were martryed in some way or fashion. Maybe the two witnesses mentioned in the book of revelations could speak of the successors of St. Peter and Paul who were both martryed in Rome. And the anti-Christ will slaughter the two witnesses phrase be referring to the assination attempt of John Paul II. And specifically the anti-Christ trying to murder the Pope the successor of Peter?

Yes, he said he had 5 bodyguards at the last conference in Buffalo. It was him that inspired me to start the Perpetual Prayer for Priests. All I know that he said was that he gets maligned and receives death threats all the time. I did see the one bodyguard when I spoke with Fr John when he signed something for me. The bodyguard kept his eye on me the whole time…which he would do with anyone close enough to Fr John

I don’t remember ever reading in the third secret of Fatima about 2 slain witnesses being slain by the anti-Christ.

Wow…I’ll have to re-read the Revelations and see what you mean! I don’t remember reading the anti-Christ trying to murder the sucessor to Peter. If that is the case, it would definitly mean the Christian persecution by the Romans at that point in time. The Word fo God is alive, so that could mean that also. I’ll have to go back again to see. :hmmm:

Does Fr. Corapi have a regular time that he is on EWTN?

I love listening to him on relevant radio at 11:00 EST

The third secret didn’t mention the anti-Christ. The arrows of persecution in the vision striking the holy father down symbolizes obviously that everytime we persecute the holy father we assassinate him spiritually. This may be a kind of percursor to the anti-Christ killing the two witnesses namely the successor of Sts. Peter and Paul. This Revelation passage may be referring to the third secret indirectly but maybe just maybe also referring to the anti-Christ killing the successor to Sts. Peter and Paul. Just my opinion.

I wonder if he’s actually been attacked physically!
