another awesome lecture
I was watching it. Was it about the Eucharist is Confession?

Love_2B_an_EM:
Does Fr. Corapi have a regular time that he is on EWTN?

I love listening to him on relevant radio at 11:00 EST
He’s on EWTN at 10pm EST on Saturday nights, and then the replay is Monday afternoons at 1pm EST. 🙂 I always try to catch Saturday’s episode if I remember.

I spoke with Fr. John when he signed something for me.[/QOUTE]

I wonder if he’s actually been attacked physically!
Code:
According to what he said…but he also admitted that some of these people are mentally il. But not all of them…

He has to cover his bases just to keep himself free from any kind of attack…slander also…that is why the thread of ‘Perpetual Prayer for Priests’ was inspired by his talk. Not realizing that this was a very good possibility also…

John the Baptist was beheaded!
I could’ve said that Fr Corapi was a modern day St Paul (which i have in another thread), and he got beheaded!
But I never connected the beheadings!
Huh? I was asking what happened to Father Corapi. I know what happend to John the Baptist and St Paul.

True. I find it amazing to how sin blinds the conscienceness. Not to be stupid, but what does cover the bases mean? Not familiar with the term. My question is whether there have been liberal theologians and such that have tried to silence him? You are a blessing to this site.

To cover his bases means just to protect himself from physical harm and slader. He said before he only had to go and report to his Bishop. Now he has to go and see his lawyer also to find ways to protect himself in everything. He mentioned that a lady accused him of sexual harrassment or even having an affair (I don’t remember which) in a certain city in the US. The problem was that he wasn’t even there in the time frame she accused him of. Even if some of these people are unbalanced…the devil is behind it all. Is this not true?

That could be a possibility, I suppose. But he never mentioned that. Although he castigated liberal thinking in priests and Bishops. He tells the Truth based on the Roman Catholic Church. His teachings are right on and a lot of people do not like him. Just like there is a lot of people who did/do not like Mother Angelica. I was told by my spiritual director that many priests in our diocese do not like her. But then of course, the same said priest says he dislikes Fr. John Corapi. My opinion is quite the contray…I love Fr John! We need more of them…let us pray for more…

You are a blessing to this site.

That is very kind of you to say…but then so are you!!! 👍

Shoshana,
I bet you he could condemn radical feminism and get accused of sexual harrassment. He has to go to his lawyer too? Yikes!!! I bet sometimes it must very hard to be a priest. That’s what my great uncle said and he’s a priest too. He condemned abortion ounce and a women accused him of the same thing. Speaking of which Ann Coulter was called a slut because she’s pro-life and believes in traditional family values. And the liberals “we advocate anti-catholicism” are influenced by the devil alright. Especially the media “we advocate Clark who supports communism and is defending Saddam Hussein” are a major player in trying to bring Father Corapi down.

When I first came back to the Church, EWTN was a tremendous help. It got me to walk the walk (Father Corapi’s like the resident drill instructer which I needed).

Anyway, I went to an aging, “Vatican II changed the way we do business” type priest who couldn’t stand EWTN or anyone on it Lol. He said “Mother Angelica’s more Catholic than the Pope” (who I don’t think he was crazy about either), handed me a Priest’s Retirement Fund contribution envelope and showed me out. That was my welcome back to the Church!

Aside from those priests and nuns who are borderline dissident, I think that Father Corapi and others on EWTN make some feel as though could be…applying themselves more and that makes them uncomfortable.

As to the 5 bodygaurds-I wouldn’t want to tangle with him!

I think it is a sad commentary that many priests and bishops ignore EWTN and do not promote it.

More and more people in the area where I live are making sure they get it on their cable.

I opted to not have cable and have relegated the TV to the guest room, but a friend of mine makes tapes of great shows from EWTN and lends them to her friends.

For the past few years a lady from another parish has organized bus trips to Alabama for three-day visits to EWTN studios and the shrine in Hanceville. More and more people from this area are opting to visit there, and want to go back the following year.

I thank the Lord for the truth of the Catholic faith that is shown on that network!

He is awesome, his talks are very inspirational. I would really
wonder about a priest who wouldn’t like him. Father speaks
the truth, that’s the best thing about him! I just saw him last
Friday night in Doylestown, PA… He now has his first book
out and is working on some more. He did a book signing after
his talk despite the fact it was late and I’m sure he was tierd.

We don’t have EWTN here in Australia but I watch it on my computer and I love Fr Corapi.

If I won Tattslotto I would fly him to Australia to speak. It wouldn’t be much good getting apologists to come here because no one really cares enough about religion to argue about it; Fr Corapi might make some hearts burn.
