I remember Dr Scott Hahn once said that Langrange was to his generation what Joseph Ratzinger was to ours.
Really, so Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange no longer applies today? Ratzinger is of the New Theology school, thus he’s very heterodox compared to Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange; see what Fr. Garrigou-Lagrange wrote regarding the New Theology:

  1. *]“Where is the New Theology Leading Us?”
*] “The structure of the encyclical ‘Humani Generis’”
*]and also: Greenstock, David L., T.O.P., “Thomism and the New Theology,” The Thomist, 13 (1950) p. 567.

I think he applies to day more than Ratzinger. I don’t agree with the New Theology.

I have that article Where is the New Theology Leading Us? I will read the article but I think the New Theology is leading us to destruction.

I would also wonder about Dr Hahn’s comment. Be that as it may, it is good that Fr Garrigou-Lagrange’s works are available. I have a few of the books. The apologetics will be interesting. He is solid and one will not have to worry about orthodoxy, which never goes out of style.
