Doing a little bit of digging into what can get you booted, marketing yourself seemed to be at the top of the list.

Seems facebook doesn’t like people advertising to their friends.
It also would seem if there is a copyright infringement or some legal issues Facebook can terminate without notice.

Corapi did have a prominent display of the American flag on his page that was distorted and had writing over it. It could readily be seen as a violation of the law and could easily get someone booted off.

This whole episode could easily be inattention to legal details.

Again wrong…so you see much speculation that has occurred on this thread and others are just that: speculation! Here is the reason:

I assure you that the reason the site came down “temporarily” is because Fr. did not want to feel responsible for causing anyone to sin or be distressed from his page. I watched “the accuser” post for days and she became more and more antagonistic and it seemed to be escalating. We have just allowed free speech to and common decency to prevail in the comments that were being posted but clearly it has gotten out of hand and very counter productive. I communicated the goings on to FC today and the fact that Sue (me) was leaving due to stress and he said take it down. We are discussing and in prayer on how to proceed. That is the reason and not what the CFC people declare about that “alleged” letter from Bobbi to Tamra.

Father Corapi was accused. His Bishop and Order are obliged to investigate and asked (directed?) him to forego public ministry until the investigation is completed and a determination made regarding the truth OR NOT of the accusation.

This proud Priest chose take a different route for reasons he stated.

I will not berate Father Corapi based on hearsay, insinuations, half truths, and distorted facts taken out of context. I will trust the Church to set the record straight in due time.

In the never ending Spiritual War, the Devil has won this round. A strong voice for the Catholic Faith has been silenced. I miss him. We should pray for a fair determination and for a new and effective voice equal to Father Corapi.

Having watched the page for the past several weeks, I am left wondering how it can be the case that he was concerned at all.
For weeks there were a handful of posters abusing anyone else on the page that did not offer adulation to Corapi.
Were anyone reading it or moderating it at all the uncivil tone would have been quelled.
Instead, the posters were left to their own devices, each one getting nastier and nastier to others on the page.

Of course, knowing that failure to intervene in the ongoing abuses on that page is easily read as tacit approval of the people in a position to do something about it.
So what should he do with a page that has spiraled out of control and is filled with every taunt, insult, and insinuation in the book (all approved by the person in control of the page) a page that is absolutely covered with the most vile words people could come up with against each other (again all approved by the person in control of the page)…delete it.
And hope people have a short memory.

Of course, we all have an opinion of what happened.
Mine is colored by the civility that was on his page last week.

My posting was limited to praying on the whole. I was attacked by Tamra herself. She took something off my facebook personal wall and accused me of insulting her. NEVER insulted her. She thought what I posted was directed at her. Here it is in its entirety. I did this as a favor for a fellow poster who suffers from MS. YOU DON’T LOOK SICK!!!
No I don’t. It’s hard to explain to someone when they have no clue. It’s a daily struggle feeling sick on the inside while you look fine on the outside. Please put this as your status for at least one hour if you or someone you know has an invisible illness (Anxiety, Bi-Polar, Depression, Panic Attacks, Agoraphobia, Diabetes, Lupus, RA, Fibromyalgia, Crohns, CF, MS, Arthritis, etc…)
NEVER JUDGE There are no words of mine in that! All this did not make sense. It ensued for a long time. I was kind and charitable. I knew I was dealing with someone unstable to say the least…I was threated because I have been calling her and her family (???). The whole thing is beyond, beyond. i asked her why was she doing this while I was praying? Very demeaning…I was her target for a long time. The site was closed.

In the spiritual world, all Ican say this makes sense. You do know who Tamra is, right?
 
Dog has gone off the deep end. I don’t know if he knows how deep. His liquidity base was predominantly faithful Catholics, he has proven not to be in communion with his liquidity base. This will result in a lack of liquidity, in other words, he messed in his mess kit and the money will stop flowing.

If he thinks some Baptist conservative from Ames, Iowa is all of a sudden going to latch onto the leather clad “Dog” for any kind of enlightenment, he’s very misled. Does Dog ever talk about the acusations which he ran from?
 
He is still on FB, they have just altered the name of the page a bit is all.

I am not certain I care.

The abuses going on with his page were going on for a long time and were joined in on by many people. This person was just one.

Corapi’s failure to do anything with the uncivility going on within his own page (that he could freely moderate and control) says a great many bad things.

Of course, that assumes he was reading the page.

Given that the posts on the page mirrored the tweets from him on twitter leads me to believe otherwise.

Perhaps he is banking for the not-so-faithful catholics to outnumber the faithful ones.

I am about as faithful as they come…and those that I know are also. No different than here in catholic.com. Trust me. I could say more but will remain silent…for charity sake.

Only God can know what he is thinking. Perhaps he imagines that the faithful Catholics who listened to him preach about obedience to the Church are suddenly going to disobey the Church and follow him, instead.

Or perhaps he imagines that there is a whole audience of non-Catholics out there who care what he thinks about politics. 🤷

He’s wrong there too, then. His thrust is conservative, anti-abortion programs. The unfaithful Catholic typically is on the other side of the fence from Dog on that issue.

I told everything that happened. It is a free world, Tamra threatened me and the site was closed. Believe what you want. I am done explaining. I have been here for a very long time. When peoples’ minds are made, they’re made up…sometimes right, sometimes wrong, and sometimes a bit of both. But also much speculation.
