So I really liked what Fr. Mike had to say here about Kanye West. He has really nailed it on many levels. He brought up the Parable of the Sower and how people need to be given time to grow roots as well as St. Paul’s advice on recent converts becoming Christian leaders. Perhaps the entire video is worth a discussion.

does it discuss his devotion to a pagan egyptian demon god

Watch the video! Then you’ll know what it discusses.

I am watching other videos atm. i have watched a video that includes mention of kanye west by an exorcist , who discusses his music video and impact musically . It was quite interesting.

Did kanye west become a practicing christian since, rejecting satan and all his works?

Just to clarify, Kanye West has always been a Christian and was raised Christian. His current conversion has more to do with a new found conviction to live according to the faith (at least according to how he understands it).

Part of the video mentions that Kanye will not be playing any of his old music that would not be Christian or would not promote Christian values. So Kanye does admit that much of his music wasn’t really Christian or portrays woman negatively. Fr. Mike praises this in this video. So do I.

Totally don’t know what you are talking about. Perhaps you have a point worth talking about though.

FYI: The video is very short…about 7 or 8 minutes.

I truly hope Kanye is sincere. I also really hope a priest reaches out to him and tries to instruct him the true faith of Christ because Kanye has a lot of reach and could be a conduit for the salvation of many. He could also lead many astray with a false gospel.
I have also wondered if Kim might be able to lead him towards Orthodoxy. I don’t know the extent of her practice or belief, but they did have their daughter North baptized into the Armenian Apostolic Church.

It would not be perfect — he still would not be in union with Rome — but at least he would be within the 2000-year apostolic and sacramental tradition of the Church. Armenia was the first Christian nation in the world.

I understand Kanye has been trying to get Kim to dress a bit less revealing. Let’s pray they take the right path. This could be a mustard seed that flourishes and impacts millennials.

I saw a tabloid headline that claimed Kim is dressing more modestly now because of Kanye’s fervor (or demand?). It will be interesting to see if that continues.

I missed your post and said much the same! 🙂

Kim herself was baptized into the Armenian Orthodox Church last month, according to multiple sources.

I’m afraid so. Beautiful, dear little child, but very unfortunate name.

Their other children are named Saint, Psalm, and Chicago (that’s the little girl’s name — they call her Chi).

That’s one time I wouldn’t be interested in “keeping up with the Kardashians”. I don’t watch reality TV, but once on a family trip to the beach (before we had cable, a long story in itself), I got “hooked” on “Gypsy Sisters”. Don’t ask me why.

praise God for his conversion.

Jonathan Morris was on Fox and Friends this morning. He has an invitation to attend, and took the attitude of “go with an open mind”. He said he would be reporting on this on Martha MacCallum’s show on Monday, the 11th. Look for it in the listings.

*Note: No, Jonathan Morris is not becoming a Protestant minister. He is a Catholic in good standing with the Church (i.e. not living in sin, attends Mass regularly, etc.) and my spider senses tell me that he either went to the Saturday evening Mass or an early Sunday morning Mass prior to attending this event, so he has fulfilled his Sunday obligation. Like I said, Jonathan Morris is going “with an open mind” and since he is a Fox News Contributor (and needs a job), this is most likely an assignment that Fox News asked him politely to take.

Well, this can be said for all of us, actually.
Check out Fr. Mike at 6:12 on the video.
